I could listen to metal guitarists talk about their rigs all day long. There is just something common about those personalities which I find both humorous and inspiring.

I remember when I first heard "Clenching the Fists of Dissent". You know, when the guitar comes in after the intro. Intense. Phil rules.

Philleas,about a trillion years ago you played the Metal Hammer Golden Gods in London. And I inadvertently bumped into you in the que in burger king before the show, I only found out after my misses told me after you had left. 😂 She didn't last long after that. Enjoy your burger riff master 🎉🎉

Always wanted that auto return on my Zakk wah, or any Dunlop wah. Got the Morley Mr. Scary for that. Where can I get this done?
@svelle373 ай бұрын
I think this is a custom shop version made based ont he original zakk wah. The model he has seems to be an original run (hence the "zakk audio" rubber on top) but that one never released as an auto return version. You can mod it fairly easy to be auto-returning to the upright position by releasing the screws on the inside and then flipping over the metal bar on the inside, however that would still not solve the auto-engaging when you start pressing down as you'd still have to hit the switch to engage it. There's a guide on how to build that on instructables but it's fairly involved. I do however have an old crybaby that I don't use anymore so I might as well give it a shot using that one.

Can someone please explain "Gig View" on the Quad Cortex to Phil. You don't need to put tape on the thing. Just swipe up on the screen!

only 81 made in the world back in 2010/11 - why only 81 you ask? - as 1981 was the first year Phil saw Randy play with Blizzard of Ozz

@MichaelHemotoxin5 ай бұрын
well yea when you gotta fly out and play these gigs sticking something like a quad cortex in your suitcase beats the fuck out of having a whole other piece of luggage filled with pedals that you'd most likely have to put in a checked bag, ya know work smarter not harder.

I hate the piranha fret markers. They've ruined so many models that I would've been interested in with those. I think they look terrible and also impractical cause you can barely see them , like he basically just said himself.

This guy specs out a custom guitar and puts the toggle switch where he constantly knocks it? Who the hell does that? Plus he doesn't know for sure what he specced for the body wings on it? I think it's mahogany.... How about I specced this out mahogany?

so which amps and speakers are you faking? how many hours of your life did you waste to make it work or is there someone doing the hard work for you like in metallica?

Phil's old rig back in the day was a Marshall silver jubilee and a tube screamer with a little delay.
@EvanDander5 ай бұрын
@@chris_2714 convenient does not un-boring make. “ I plug in here, it comes out here. Send it to power. How much time do we have left? “ - machine head guy. NOT shitting on Phil at all. It’s just lame content.
@chaseattwood-steele26825 ай бұрын
@@EvanDander Thats literally the same thing he'd have to say with a real amp. Plug in to this pedal, in to the input and I have sound. The problem here with these interviews is that the person interviewing doesn't ask what amp models they're using and how they chose to dial it in as they would with with real amps. THATS the boring part.
