PHIL HATES BATH TIME (CUTEST WHINING DOG)

Poor Phil tried to unsuccessfully hide in the first part of this limited bath time series. He was under the illusion of the age old ‘ I can’t see you so you can’t see me ‘ trick. Phil loves to get in every pond/puddle or source of water you can imagine, but when it comes to B A T H time, he hates it. He’s not scared or in pain don’t worry, he just likes to try and make you feel sorry for him! Because he’s so big, he tries to make it hard and leans against you. Tactful dog!
Phil was very muddy as he is happiest when dirty so needed a bath as his fur was starting to Matt. Niko on the other hand likes to stay clean for her photos :)

@About Me No, people actually change the temperature of the water for animals, it's not torture, do you even have animals? Phil was one of the most calm dogs i saw that didn't throw a big tantrum, dogs are just like that, some love water, some don't.

I lost a dog last April and said no more ,because I hate when they get old and die. Well I had depression for like months after I lost my dog ,and so I went to Humane society and found Max . My mental state got better with Max and realized I did the dog a service by giving him a loving home, and he did me a service by helping me deal with depression . For people that say "I do not want to get another animal after my animal dies due to watching them get old and die is to upsetting " . I tell those people look at the great life that you gave them, and that there is so many dogs or cats out there that need a home and a great life also . I am so glad I got my dog from the Humane society this time , instead of buying him from a breeder. Max has turned out to be a very good pet and a friend . Thank god for animals in a world full of chaos and problems.

I used to have a dog who knew that the quicker she gave in the quicker the suffering of a bath was gone...shed come over head sunk in then gave me a look like, "siiighh, lets get this over with" then after the bath shed be the happiest puppy ever showing off how good she looked and smelled, shed go looking for all my siblings as to brag as how much of a good girl she was

When I was a Veterinary Technologist I noticed that putting a rubber bath mat in help a lot. If there was still anxiety I would get in the tub with the dog. Yes I keep cloths at work just for giving baths. I have always gotten in the tub with my dogs and one of the breeds I had was a Rottweiler.

His paws slide on the tub ground When we need to bath one of our animals we always put something in there to prevent them from slipping not only is it dangerous but als anxiety inducing I also recommend doing a crawling motion in small circles when putting the soap in

A rubber mat works perfectly. It doesn't really matter how you put the soap on. Just scratch the spots they like a little extra.

Dogs pant when they're too hot. His breed is meant to withstand freezing temperatures, that's why he likes the cold water but over-heats when he takes a bath. I understand you need warm water to help break up the oils and dirt, but it's good to understand that this dog's internal temperature is going run much more hot than what humans are experiencing in the same environment. Anyway, super cute video! Not meaning to criticize, yall are obviously very thoughtful pet owners.

@roach Actually this is quite a helpful tidbit of info, as I knew there had to be a reasonable explanation why he was hating the warm water so much. I was brainstorming, but all I could think is that he might have thought it was pee, but your explanation makes much more sense.

@@ddub9696 We also have malamute which does not have any problems with bathing and any other beauty treatments(like brushing or drying using hairdryer) but I can confirm that when we bath her the water is not even warm. we just keep it not cold. It's april and she is already swimming in the river so anything that is warm'ish is just too hot. Also the bath seems just too tall for the dog. Arrange some steps so it can enter the bath by himself and you can try with putting some pate(yes pate:)) on the inner sides of bath

If you use a good shampoo, there's no need to use the water that hot.. you can use cold water or room temperature.

My lab, who LOVES water, acts like I’m killing him when he gets a bath. Which ever side I’m scrubbing, he leans into the tub, smooshing my hand, while constantly lunging to leap out. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! He would swim all day, in a river, lake or pool. But a bath? Nope!!!!! We recognize your struggle.....it’s real!😂😂😂🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪💗❤️👍🏼

They are afraid if the slippery ground. Put a big dark towel or anti slippery mat on the ground of the bathtubs and it will calm them a lot!! It helped our dog.

I love watching dogs getting baths, my GSD looked plumper because of his double coat, when he was wet people were amazed at how normal he was. This guy is the same , their costs are so thick . We used a small fan for air circulation in our bathroom as our boy seemed to get a little too hot , it really helped , that cat is absolutely stunning , dogs are gorgeous too, l love their mooshy faces ❤️😆 the worst bit is the shaking , I hated that bit 😂😂

Malfeasance nah, my dog hates bath time outside too it’s not the surface. she jumped into a river in winter while i was not looking for a sec and had the time of her life but when i tried to wash her with WARM water she started shaking and being a little drama queen

It is probably the lack of control when he's getting washed. Running into puddles and streams, that's his idea. Getting a bath, that's not up to him, and he knows it.

Agreed. Plus what smells clean to us (soaps, shampoos etc) smell terrible to dogs. And their sense of smell is much stronger than ours. And it's ALL OVER them. It must be horrible for them. Still the right thing to do though, obviously. I think, just like with kids, dogs know deep down that they are being cared for, even if they don't particularly like the task in hand, on some level they know they are being looked after.

My 9 yr old Lab is my heart & soul and has so much personality. Whoever said Dogs aren't smart, don't know anything about Dogs. I truly enjoyed your 2 Video on Phil's Bath. Your written narration on these 2 Videos were perfect and so funny. There is nothing that makes me happier then seeing a Family's Love for their Fur Babies. I'm going to go watch all of your Videos over the next 2 weeks. Thank you for sharing.

I literally cried a little watching this video because it's so damn cute. From Phil's little whining to the little baby watching, it's my idea of a perfect life.
