In the early '90s Phil visited our sanctuary in Fair Oaks, Ca. I was rather late to arrive and as I walked toward the fellowship hall I came upon Phil outside, praying & preparing himself for the performance to come. I stopped and asked if I might talk with him or if he wanted the time alone. His answer was, "Brother, 'Where two or more are gathered...' Have a sit, let's talk for a few". He was one of the most sincere, peaceful & gently intense persons I've met, exuding warmth with insight while simultaneously commanding respect and displaying endearing humility. Of this man it must be said, "What a Man of God" .

I met Phil while serving as an usher for one of his concerts at a church in Fontana, CA. He took a few minutes before the concert to talk with those of us who were doing the ushering. Phil truly is a man of God and, truly, a nice man. I hope to meet him again sometime. I was a novice guitarist at the time, so his talent blew me away and still does.

Phil will always my favorite musician of all, not only of his extraordinary talent & creativity but also because he is a real person of upright character. And his wife, Bernadette, is definitely a precious gem to share Phil with us all these decades. Thank you, Phil & Bernadette.

He is one of THE best guitarists in the world. As a non-Christian I'm always flabbergasted by his ability and his lack of exposure.I know he's happy in the world of Christian music but the world would benefit from knowing more about this man.Luv and Peace.

Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted. Just as many were astonished at you, My people, So His appearance was marred more than any man And His form more than the sons of men. Thus He will sprinkle many nations, Kings will shut their mouths on account of Him; For what had not been told them they will see, And what they had not heard they will understand. Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due? His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth. But the Lord was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. Isaiah 52: 13- 53:12

As a former rocker of sorts, it was always interesting to me how many attendees of Phil's concerts showed up in AC/DC (and other bands) shirts, and waited in line for a 'front row' seat. Mr. Keaggy's talent and abilities are rightly recognized across the lines of genré and life philosophies. God Bless Phil Keaggy !!!

Couldn’t help but cry during “How Could I Thank You.” What a beautiful song. I not only thought of the words Phil were singing for his sister, Mary Ellen, but I also thought of all the times Phil Keaggy’s music ministered to me during some tough times. I can’t help but think- how could I thank you, Phil? Praise the Lord :) ❤︎

Soon after Phils What A Day album came out; and i played it to death; he did a free mini concert (Allendale or Glen Rock NJ?). I was sure to get front pew, which had me less than 2 arms length from him playing; love this ɓrothers presence; he is so childlike and artist-wise, very fine. His stand against abortion deeply touched me as he spoke of his heart over the issue. God bless Phil Kaeggy! Thank you for your pure God-glorifying music. It reminds me of how J S Bach did his music for the Lord.

Artistry in action and ask Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Hendrix, all the other guitarists to sit down and listen to this pickin' ///Psalm 96 Oh SING (emphasis mine) to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. 3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! 4 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. 5 For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. 6 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. 7 Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the people, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!
