This movie made me so emotional because of my personal story. I was friend with this guy for over 7 years and we gradually realized we loved each other more than just friends. We got together and quickly decided to get married. That was the beginning of my misery. For almost 2 years, I saw his family actively fight for us not to get married because of cultural differences (they wanted him to marry his cousin). I waited, I prayed, I supported him throughout without ever judging his family for their pressure. Unfortunately, I saw that he was unable to make a clear choice as the pressure was getting to him and he constantly made excuses to delay our marriage. I finally chose myself and ended it....unlike Phil, he never fought to get me back and gave up. As painful as it is, I think I made the best decision. No woman should ever feel less and a man who really wants you will fight for you! May God put us on the path of men who put us first and make us their priority. Ameen 🤲🏿

Okay l cried when Yemi gave back the ring, because she was strong and wise enough to walk away from something that wasn’t for her. Btw she is beautiful too❤.. Some parents are just dead ass wrong. I will never believe in forcing your children into something that they clearly do not want because it will always fail. Can we acknowledge the women empowerment in this movie👑👑👑 Emotions flying around but they were able to control it and be civilize enough to have conversations. I really loved that❤ Cece is me and I am her. I’m sorry, I felt her through and through because Phil never made her feel secure enough and protected her which he should’ve done and she wasn’t about to force him to do so. Sometimes in life you have to fight for the one you love and Phil had to learn that the hard way. It is beautiful when you know your worth and love yourself enough to walk away from certain situations that will break you in the future. Both Yemi and CeCe did that. Beautiful cast and idk why I’m feeling so proud of this storyline and the tellers🙏🏽🫶🏽 … Thank you for this one ❤.

Phil is an amazing character, unfortunately most men in reality are not as open and honest as he was with Yemisi. They would rather be playing the two ladies instead of making a choice. My favorite scene was Phil`s conversation with yemisi ,when she returned the ring. When men are blunt and straight to the point, they save women further emotional trauma. Nothing is more traumatic than holding on to a man that is not emotionally available to you because of another woman. Beautiful movie!!!

The level of maturity that Yemisi and Cece have 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Cece didn't have to paint his mother black, she walked away. Yemisi understood that she could not fight the love her fiance had in the past, nor try to stand in the way of this love. There's a level of emotional intelligence from both ladies and that's beautiful to watch.

I like the person that wrote this movie. She handled the situation in the most mature way possible. There is no other way to handle someone that is tribalistic. The only way forward is to leave. The guy has shown that he has no boundaries with his mum too. These are the signs women should not ignore.

I so much love this movie!....so much to learn 1. Ladies should pls do better, communication is really key...if Cece had at least talked to him after the breakup, maybe Phil would have confronted his mum the way he did and they will be just fine 2. Guys pls don't engage another lady when you're still clearly in love with your ex..it doesn't make sense 3. I really salute Yemi's maturity, she wasn't ready to go into a relationship when the guy is still in love with his ex...it doesn't end well. I think both gender needs to learn this! 4. A mother's love is second to none, but i think mother's should do better also... respect your sons choices and if their is a tangible reason they shouldn't be together, talk to your son about it in love rather than forcing it to the extent of threatening the lady. Phil had to learn the hard way i must say...the goal should be marrying out of true love and happiness not being forced to by your mother or parents Cece should have been true with her feelings...her saying she had moved on is a total liee!!!... Phil was true to himself about his feelings...Cece should have come clean to and be a TEAM! Well, At the end of the day we all want to end up with a family we are loved God help us to choose rightly

This is a very touching story, I saw myself in the picture, i remember a guy I was seriously in love wit though young and naive but I was in love, he was just an upcoming guy, didn’t av much but I was looking at his bright future, my mum hated him cos he was Igbo and am frm d south, she would insult him and sometimes pour us hot water whenever he comes around to see me, it was really bad and again she never liked him cos she said he doesn’t prostrate to greet her cos we grew up in Lagos, I loved him so much but I lost him to another lady. Pls parents should limit the way they tend to meddle in the affair of their children cos it’s destroys or delay their children’s future. Thanks so much for this great movie

Philip should have realised his mother's ludicrous, selfish and controlling motive when she made the statement: "See, if you marry Yemi eh, she will not take you away from me". The way these mothers, especially the single or widowed ones, get so attached to their sons, especially if they have just one son, and do all they can to manipulate their sons' relationships in order to continue controlling them isn't only selfish and weird but sometimes demonic as well. May the Lord open the eyes of such sons to their mothers' manipulations; and also deliver such mothers🙏. I so liked how both Cece and Yemi demonstrated that they knew their worth and so wouldn't settle for anything less.

Exactly what the title said it was A Beautiful Love Story. Phil and his mom bond was tight until it became controlling/demanding which she was accustomed to until LOVE came along . Love open up Phil’s eyes as well. You can’t fight TRUE LOVE & what’s meant to be. I like how the film displayed the role of maturity of both women . Showing women that you don’t have to fight/harm one another over a man. We need more films like this. It was Enjoyable to watch from the USofA.
