This 'first-run' Les Paul Jimmy Page Signature guitar weighs just 8.80 lbs. and has a nice fat nut width of just over 1 11/16 inches and a standard Gibson scale length of 24 3/4 inches. Just like Jimmy Page's original '59 guitar, the neck profile is medium-thick at the nut, just like a typical 1959 Les Paul, but the profile tapers very, very slightly in the middle. Solid mahogany body with a nice 'tiger-stripe' two-piece carved maple top with single-ply cream binding. One-piece mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and inlaid pearl trapezoid position markers. Two Gibson Ceramic Magnet Humbuckers. ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic retainer bridge with metal saddles and separate stud tailpiece. All hardware gold-plated. Apart from some very slight rubbing to the gold signature on the pickguard this is a mint example complete with it's original truss-rod adjustment tool, case key, strap button fasteners and Gibson Custom Customer Care Guide booklet. Housed in the original Gibson custom black hardshell case with maroon plush lining (9.50).

For those of you wondering, the series/parallel switch (for this guitar) needs 2 pickups on at the same time to do anything. A LP is normally in parallel in the middle position, which is the two humbuckers working alongside, or parallel to one another. In series they work together, combining the outputs to make one very high output sound, Ex: A strat and tele are normally wired in parallel, the Brian May Red Special is wired in series.

I have a 1995 Jimmy Page Model Les Paul, which I've owned since 2000. They must have changed the specs slightly for '96 as mine has a thin 1960 style neck (though still with the thinnest section at the 5th fret). The neck is simply superb to play, has a super-low action all the way up and hasn't required any truss-rod adjustment in the last 10-years. It has tulip-headed Grovers rather than kidney-headed Grovers used on the one in the video, and the case lining is green, not maroon. The sunburst finish (which was never as cherry as the one in the video) has faded over time to a near-tobacco finish. It probably has more tiger-striping than that 1996 model but it's certainly not AAA grade striping by a long way. Weight is 9.4lbs. I've swapped the ceramic pickups out (never Gibson's best pickups) for Bareknuckle Mules which are far better PAF style pickups. Really great neck, super low action all the way up. Like many on here, I'm not really a fan of the gold-plated hardware, and am slowly picking up the courage to replace it all with nickel-plated replacements. Really worth trying one out if you come across one.

@TheIzzyGuy yes it is. they weigh more than most guitars, and it's part of what gives them that big beefy sound. the humbuckers are part of that as well, but keep in mind SG's have humbuckers and they sound significantly brighter because SGs are significantly lighter.

jimmy page never used push pulls in zeppelin. the push pull mod was done for him after zeppelin.

Page did a lot of double tracking in the studio with a Telecaster. Page also used a Danelectro from time to time. The coil split is to replicate the Telecaster sound and the parallel/series is to mimic the Danelectro sound. With this model you get all of the Page sound in one axe.

Hey Phil you probably already know now but Page used the parallel switch when he had the selector switch in the middle it reversed the phase on the pickups which gave it like a peter green kind of sound.
