Handel composed this oratorio during the highly formative period he spent in Rome in the first decade of the 18th century. He wisely repurposed the music - a haunting sarabande originally heard in Almira, a little-known opera he wrote for Hamburg in 1705 - just a few years later in London, when he produced one of his most splendid operas, Rinaldo.

Приятная ария, а также новая импровизация Филиппа, чувствуется, что он на ходу это совершает, поэтому довольно сосредоточен и дирижирует, чем - то напоминая не менее знаменитого пианиста Гульда, вообще его мягкий и певучий голос, а также красивая постановка рук, как и выражение, а вернее полное погружение в музыку, что неизменно отображается на его лице, всегда неизменно приковывает внимание..Браво, Филипп! 👏👏👏🔝🌷🎶
