+Ven Hipol to non-Filipinos "Manila" denotes what Filipinos refer to as "Metro Manila". It's just normal when refering to metropolises from outside a country.. For example: what non-Japanese people refer as "Tokyo", is actually what Japanese people refer to as "Shutoken", the Japanese National Capita Region of 23 wards and 5 cities. Another example: what non-Brits refer to "London" actually refers to "Greater London", the U.K.'s NCR of 33 districts/boroughs and within them numerous towns, the City of London being only one of them. this is virtually the same for every large city or capital on earth.

+Ven Hipol even what you think of as "Bangkok" is actually the "Bangkok Metropolitan Region", which refers to the NCR of Thailand consisting of 5 separate cities. it's not just one city, just like (metro) Manila, Tokyo (shutoken), (greater) London, (metropolitan) New York or any other major metro area..

I think the country is on its way. It's strategically located in a part of the world where the real estate markets are all too saturated and overpriced. Metro Manila is definitely where the next real estate boom is in S.E. Asia.

Makati is a beautiful modern zone. But only Makati is growing Outside is a large slum around the city

FYI, there have a lots of beautiful modern and prosperous cities in the Philippines aside from Makati City.. Its BGC, Pasig City, Mandaluyong City, Quezon City, Paranaque City, Pasay City etc..make a research duh! not only blah blah ok?
