BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN CABINS, FOGGY RIDGE VIEWS... THIS WAS SUCH AN AWESOME DAY IN MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON!
I have been to this part of Mindanao many times, but I have never explored this part of Malaybalay... and wow is it ever a must visit! Driving up a dirt road, within minutes I was experiencing cool temperatures, beautiful ridges, and finding myself drinking hot chocolate (sikwate) at mountain cabin cafes! Certainly these must be some of the best views in Malaybalay!
I definitely want to come back to the places I explored on this day with my motor in Mindanao, and having an overnight hangout with barkada. I can only imagine waking up at one of these mountain cabins... the view and cool temperatures must be amazing!

Kulas! I just want you to know you that you saved my life , sitting in a dialysis chair for four hours is not easy! So about an hour before the fourth hour I need something very beautiful to watch to save my sanity (of course I do pray a lot on this chair) And I saw your postMalaybalay! I fell in love here, married and had my eldest born there above all I have two sisters who reside in this beautiful City , and the Macas Clan of course thrives there! So there thanks for saving me everyday❤Hope to visit you on Cateel if God Willing puhon❤❤❤

PRAYING for your complete healing. My mom used to do dialysis 2x a week due to kidney failure. But God did a miracle in her life because whatever kidney function she has left is cleansing her blood. She prayed for others while in dialysis. She had a big notebook with prayers for others. She prayed for her "classmates" at the dialysis center, for the doctors nurses families... Never lose hope. Keep PRAYING and going to your sessions with a positive outlook. My mom is 78 now. She stopped dialysis 2021. And she is still praying...

My best friend, an American married to a Filipina, made me an offer to live at their home in Malabalay. I'm in my 70s, born in California, and ready for a new, inexpensive life. I have distant relatives in Manila, but Mindanao is where I want to be while I'm still able . My parents left the islands in the 1920s . I never learned Tagalog, but immersing in Filipine culture would be a blessing. See you all as soon as I can. 🥰

Love the views at Katihan Eco Park. Hope to someday visit that place. To my fellow Filipinos, It's a nice gesture to offer guests some drinks. But please, if they are driving (whether it's a motorbike, car, bike,etc.) please don't offer alcoholic drinks. Specially offering different kinds of alcoholic drinks at the same time. For the driver's safety and safety of others, please 🙏.

my wife asks why I always watch becomingfilipino, almost all the time. I said its because of you Kulas, you are a super human being, great outlook in life very genuinely friendly to everyone, your parents and friends must be very proud of you! Here in the States no one talks to me unless I greet them first and I have no idea if the response was genuine or just acknowledgment! So Thank you Kulas for being you! I just have a slight observation on your greetings to the locals: you ask them: "sinong pangalan mo?" translation: "who's your name?" while , "anong pangalan mo?" translation: "what's your name?", of course either phrases they know what you meant and the locals are to shy to correct you, except me and I hope you don't mind!

Kibalabag is the water source of Malaybalay. As much as we want to share it to the world, part of our heart says, we want to keep it to ourselves. It is also an ancestral domain and somehow the dumagats have come to 'own' parcels of land w/c is another story to tell. So, if you come, please be mindful of your basura and keep it pristine because our lives (water) depend on Kibalabag.

Really like Katihan Eco Park. Gorgeous views and really homey cabins to stay in there! The individual pools are a great touch. I'd love to go there some time. Sacramento Valley looks like another "must return to" spot, especially with the friendly locals. Don't know what time of day it was, but they were definitely ready to tagay.😝 Maybe you need to go back there with the Fighter Boys and bring along a supply of Fighter Wine to share.

Thanks for showing Bukidnon. I’ve been to Malaybalay long time ago. It was a rustic town then but after more than 40 yrs. I guess it has progressed a lot. The scary thing I remember going to Malaybalay was the winding and steep mountain road coming from Misamis O.

That's the best part now. It's the most scenic part of the highway. The Zigzag road (it's really called that), and the Mangima Canyon.
