Those were the days in 1961 to 1983 when I worked for the PACD(now DILG) when was assigned in the Old Mountain Province. Our Team traveled those dangerous roads from Baguio City, Benguet to Conner,Apayao. Reporting from Bontoc to all 5 sub-Provinces really gave us goose pimples. Praise the Lord am now in USA! We pray that the roads will be completely safe to travel now.

This is one part of the Halsema Highway, one of the most dangerous roads in the world. They are making progress to improving the road and it is much better since this video was filmed, but it is still a scary route. I intend to take my motorcycle along the entire route later this year if all goes acording to plan.

I'm a french men,i was there several times in Kalinga region.First time was on 1991.I live in the house of Victor Baculi,Barangay cpt.on the small village Luplupa.near Tinglayan on the other side of the Chico river. Last time was on 2019.Now the road it's better but always landslide destroyed the road again. When i go there i stay 2,4 or 6 weeks.I love this place, but the problem is not a lot of food there. In 2012 i stay 2 month and i loose more than 25 pounds.I live now in Camiguin island 12 years.I love Philippines.I will die here.
