I own the 3200 and couldnt be happier. Sold my Breville Barista Express for it and dont regret it. Super easy to clean an maintain, espresso tastes really good, much better than i expected for a super automatic and the "dry" milk system is a dream. Taking the Latte Go apart and cleaning can literally be done by a blind person, no offence. Since the milk doesnt go through the machine itself, there is absolutely nothing else to clean other than the latte go cup. I cant recommend it enough, love it

i am thinking of buying breville barista espresso or phillips latte go 5400 what would you advise? as i can presume you are not very satisfied with your breville
@george5737
@george5737 Жыл бұрын
@@mariak4045 I have used both extensively for years. If you want to go for pure coffee result, I believe the Barista Express is easily superior. However, due to the manual work, you need to learn some barista skills and even then you can have uneven results depending on the day. However, when you become very familiar, the quality is top notch, better than coffee shops I would say. Philips provides unparallel ease of use, you wake up and the only thing you have to do is push a button. My wife loves it because she just could not care less about learning the Breville’s manual operation. A couple of thing though, Philips gets less grams of coffee per puck so the coffe will never be as strong as Breville’s and although Philips is very easy to use, the maintenance is more demanding. Lastly, if you want drinks like cappuccinos and lattes, then the Philips does a great job with those and is basically the only option. Hope it helps.

@@mariak4045 Latte Go for ease of use. If you are a coffee snob and dont' mind putting in the work, go for the Breville. I went with the Latte Go, no regrets.

Instead of wasting coffee grinds when you want to just froth milk, set it up to use BYPASS DOSING and then cancel when it's finished frothing the milk. No wasted water, no wasted coffee grinds :-) Cousin's 3200 is still working flawlessly with no maintenance and I got it for her when you first started carrying them. That tubeless carafe siphon was the biggest selling point. Nothing on the market beats the simplicity of this operation or ease of cleaning in a super auto especially for the quality of the drinks it can make.
@shahraad
@shahraad 2 жыл бұрын
How do you bypass the dosing? Does the machine not grind the beans first? Wouldn’t those grinds then go to waste? I’m receiving my machine tomorrow so I haven’t tried it out yet.
@NoZenith
@NoZenith 2 жыл бұрын
@@shahraad you didn't do any research haha. There's a mode called bypass dosing where you put ground coffee in a little door on top... otherwise yes to what you said. Just cancel the brew once you get done with frothing the milk and you don't even waste your filtered water.
@shahraad

Has anyone figured out how to not have all your milk based drinks coming out cold? We've seen a lot of reviews that you basically have to microwave your drink after it's made, since the milk frothing significantly decreases the temp of the coffee.

I bought the 4300 a week ago and thus far I'm not very impressed. Almost no coffee foam from grinded coffee, but a decent foam if you use already grinded coffee. I don't know how the grinder works exactly, I've tried adjusting it several times now.

Why isn’t the 5400 easier to track down in the US? I can only find it on back order at Williams-Sonoma. I was deciding between the 4300 and the 5400, but for just an extra $100, it doesn’t seem like there’s a choice to be made.

Would you use the 4300 for commercial use?
@DomzyDX
@DomzyDX 2 жыл бұрын
No, you generally wouldn't use a Philips espresso machine for anything intended to be sold to a customer, the Philips machines do not internally bloom the coffee and they do not use burst brewing techniques which the jura/gaggia machines do. If you are serving customers you should invest into jura machines because they are universally agreed upon to make the closest espresso to a manually pulled shot.

I just got a 3200 and the regular coffee is so watery. I’ve brewed dozens of cups to try to get it to adjust and it’s better but still pretty bad. Any advice?
@randolphs.4644
@randolphs.4644 2 жыл бұрын
For some reason it takes many cups for the machine to adjust, but it does, eventually. You can also try using the espresso setting and adjusting the strength and quantity parameters to your liking (even adding more hot water if you need to). (Of course you can also adjust the grind setting and the coffee beans.) After an initial phase-in, the coffee (esp. the espresso) tastes very good, in my opinion.

@@MrLars1984 Sorry, I don't remember, but probably a week or two. We've had our machine for a couple of months, and (as I said) the quality of the coffee is consistently good.
