Never mix up the blades when cleaning. Each blade and mesh wear out together to make a perfect match, and will not fit another mesh part. If you mix up the blades (accidently drop them) its hard to find the matching pairs, but usually you will find one blade that just will not rotate smoothly (using your finger) in any except one. Then its a 50/50 guess on the remaining two.

Thanks - your video was helpful. I had to fiddle with getting my new knock-off blades to position correctly and drop down far enough into place, but they did fit and work fine. Appreciate this visual - it made it simple.

When you lift the lid, have a look for writing on the body around the 3 drive spindle things. The model and proper replacement blade numbers are written there, can't go wrong using these numbers.

I live in the US, and have the newer designed model Series 3000 Wet/Dry I purchased about 2 months ago at Walmart that looks totally different than the one you have, and on the the shaver's packaging, the unit specifies using the SH30 "Comfort Cut" blades with a totally different logo on each shaving head that features a small circle surrounded by four arrows turning in the same direction... I also purchased replacement blades that same day, and although the packaging is slightly different, it still shows the SH30 "Comfort Cut" with the same logo on each shaving head as on my shaver itself... I'm not sure, but I think the "dual precision" may have pertained to the "Lift & Cut" shaving system of blades... Possibly, some iterations of the old S3000 Wet/Dry design (specifically those branded as the "Aquatec", at least in the US market) might have featured the "Lift & Cut" (HQ type) blades, but these newer designed shavers don't have that at all... That may be because the new design S3000 has a "5D" floating hinge on the 3 head assembly that allows the unit to follow the contours of your face much like the more advanced S5000-S9000 Series shavers, which all feature the 3 head assembly on that single universal pivot...

Thanks for commenting with the specifics. My shaver is pretty old, 4 years old and i don't know how well the SH30 does for the 3000 models.

@@TheWongReviewer- I don't know... Philips changes their designs so much, usually on the average of every 5 years, you don't know what's what anymore... I don't know why they would phase out the "Lift & Cut" blade system now, as it has been on most of their models since 1980... My second consecutive Philips/Norelco shaver, purchased back in 1986 had the dual-action blades (That one replaced my first shaver from 1978 after it burned out after 8 years of heavy daily use), and it lasted for about a decade until its motor too, burned out (I have heavy chin growth)... Even the "Norelco" acronym that pertains only to products sold in North America, is about to get phased out soon, as it was originally established back in the 1950s because Ford Motor Company had a division of home appliances under the name "Philco" at that time, so Philips was forced into that name change... Now that Philco has long been discontinued, the Philips name has been back on the shaver products in North America for about the last 20 or so years...

I am a little late reading this but as I am right now looking at both my old PT860 (series 5000) and a possible replacement S3333/50 (series 3000) shaver, I decided to first check the cost of replacement blades as an ongoing cost. It turns out that the original dual-cut (lift n cut) blade HQ8 for my series 5000 PT860 has since been replaced by the Philips SH50/50 blade whic as far as I can tell is basically the same HQ8 head cutter but with a new designation. However the new series 3000 S3333/57 shaver comes fitted with the SH30 cutter head that does not have any dual-action (lift n cut) which is why a few reviewers are saying the shave is no as close as the previous/earlier/cheaper range of shavers. However, here is the interesting part, it does appear that the series 5000 (PT860) dual-cut SH50/50 head could fit in place of the series 3000 SH30/50 cutters. This mean you could purchase the cheaper series 3000 shaver, and then when the next head replacement comes around you could install the SH50/50 dual-cut head. You can always identify the two type visually because the series 3000 heads have the same spiral grooves all around the head, whereas the series 5000 head have a sprial around only two-thirds of the haed and the othe section is for two areas of holes (not slots). Hmmmm, what a lot of confusion for having a shave ;-)

That’s helpful. Your right. If it’s $80 for the inserts and $80 for a new razor yeah I find myself in the same predicament. The blades sometimes cost more than the razor with new blades. Everything is throw away these days. So if you can find away not to that’s great. The other thing is it goes to show you how much the mark up is on the thing. I think they do it on purpose so there reports can show units sold on there sales reports.

Thanks for the video, however those aren’t generic knockoff. Those are replacement blades for the 3000 series and mine came with those same ones

i payed fi+or mine 400 with cleaning statiioon and the blades are 50 so it is worth it
