@munaclassic4020 look i believe the reality is, Tampa has a good chance to slip. They lost their best pitcher and are without one of their best position players for who knows how long. And don't talk about "how Seattle is playing." They've been embarrassed by KC in the last 2 days and were lucky to pull out the win last night because the runner advancing to 3rd didn't slide. Anything else in that inning, they'd lose the game. Its KC. Be realistic.

Such a strange season to watch as a jays fan. Our ace and one of the best pitchers in the league last year decided to become unplayable, while everyone else decided to become cy young candidates. Our offence for some reason is 5th in the league in batting average, yet 28th in the league with risp. We have the best outfield defence in baseball who all happen to be useless at the plate. We are like 20 games below .500 against our own division, and 20 games above .500 against everyone else. Nothing makes sense with this team lmao

Absolutely embarrassing. And it's not only on Schwarber and his terrible play on defense (AGAIN) .This whole team has been struggling for a while now to hit a ball against a good pitchers. And that's what worries me more come playoffs time (if they make it of course). 3rd straight loss (including 2 at home). Gotta do better.

@wook1990 9 ай бұрын
The Phillies beat the Twins 13-2 in a game and have been outscored 13-2 since that game. 2 runs on 21 hits and 34 strikeouts in the last 3 games. Too much of these cold streaks from this very inconsistent offense. Kyle Schwarber is 0 for his last 12 with 6 strikeouts and 14 LOB. He has more walks than hits and RBIs. Rob Thomson needs to use his brain for once and remove him from the lead-off spot. This offense needs a quick start and relying on lead-off home runs from a guy hitting under .200 is not working. Stott needs to be the lead-off hitter. The only .300 hitter on the team, he gets on base, and he steals bases. That's what every team should have when it comes to lead-off hitters.
@bwebster6234
@bwebster6234 9 ай бұрын
Toronto had the same problem ....they had George Springer as the lead off hitter for more than half the year. Made no sense when they had Whit Merrifield batting 300 and has has stolen 22 bases. Now Merrifield is the lead off hitter on is on fire had 4 hits the other night and two tonight.. one of the few consistent hitters on the Jays at the moment.

Can someone please tell Vlad he needs to make some adjustments at the plate, or are the hitting coaches trying but it's falling on deaf ears...? His numbers have been in decline the past couple of years. This year is bad for a guy who is supposed to be the best slugger on the team and one of the best in the league...OPS: .775 (27th in the AL) Homers: 18 (tied for 26th in the AL) RBI: 72 (12 in AL). SEND SCHWARBER BACK TO CHICAGO. HES not contributing to the team. Sosa is a better hitter.

Rob Thompson deserves the blame for tonight’s loss . how you pinch hit for edmundo sosa who was 2-2 during the game and had half the teams hits prior , is shameful . jake cave is not an MLB player and schwarber in left field late in games is a liability . topper needs some reevaluation.

Vlad ….a cocky player who has done nothing so far other than be a choker?…..you need a hit and you have choice between Springer or vlad - who do you choose …..you need a hit and you have a choice between bichette or vlad- who do you choose ……maybe vlad is the 3rd batter in this lineup who you might choose to get a hit when you need a hit ….wonder if he’ll be paid like that when it’s his turn to negotiate?
Be kind🤝
