You forgot Joltin’ Jeff Chandler. He loves the street life and used to hang out with us. Italians down here in South Philly. 10th and Oregon. Really good dude and a bad MFer. He had a beef with a good friend of mine, and knocked him out with one punch. Had 100 pounds on him. Was still always cool with him though. Haven’t seen him in a long long time hoping he is alive and well. Blessings bro.

I grow up with Bucky Davis. From the gym to the streets. Mr Gil turner gym on woodland avenue. Me and my brother moved from west Philly.. we boxed for jimmy beachrum on 40 and Lancaster ave.. Bucky was a legend in the gym before the streets.. had the pleasure of boxing Bucky his cousin Sloan and many others as kids.. we all knew Bucky was different in that ring! In the streets no different…

Philly was well respected back in the day.. EVERYBODY knew how to box! As kids, we ‘Body boxed’ JUST for fun! 💯 The lessons those pastimes taught us was, respect.. and ‘pecking order’. Because it’s during those ‘playful’ painful battles that you knew who, and who you could NOT play with. 💯 Lost art.. now these males can’t even throw a punch correctly! So much murder.. 😒🤦🏾‍♂️

They still talking about Fats and Buckys two fights til this day. Im sorry I missed. That Monday back in the Gym I said what happen who you fought and who won he just said Fats!! Buck my stable mate and sparing hin for yrs. got me sharp. That Nigga hit hard Fats a good dude and we done got tight over the yrs. Back then everybody was gunning for him and he was running thru them left and right. I always wonder how far them two wouldve went if they stayed with it. I always match themw two in ny mind with Floyd.

I didn't know that you and Philly trenches is going through it like that about the boxing first of all I know you been knowing you a long time I know Hakeem been knowing him a long long time and I know Beans very very well from the streets and he was my celly in 1986 at Rockview State penitentiary he was my celly for 3 years now as far as boxing Beans could Box he was pretty good but he couldn't beat me and he damn sure couldn't beat M. Taylor I couldn't beat M. Taylor Beans couldn't beat me so I know he couldn't Beat M. Taylor and I sparred with Bean several times at Rockview and I sparred with M.Taylor once and the Joker hit me with a thousand punches and I was nice back then when he got off on me like that Beans was okay as a Boxer but he wasn't no Jeff Gant, a Hassan Sistrunk, a Bucky, not was he a Bernard Hopkins or big Charlie (bad man) Jones or Joel (Chuck) Hobsin these guys was super nice

Hass and Jeff ( half thumb up) but no Big Ray( Raymond Todd Pryor) Jeff big cousin and ruler of the heavyweights for a long time. You like Jeff over Scoop, Sinbad,Kamikaze or body snatcher ( scratch Stacey?) I don’t. I came up the Rock after you all, leave it up to me my era and the era right between urs and mine. I’m the baddest thing to ever come outta sw. Ijs( what happened? Friendly fire fresh out of haddington (Shepards) gym earlier that day. Have big homie do one about the vice versa, the wanna be gangsters( bcuz I was a kid not a gangster- a difference) that boxing (not jail) reformed, because besides Jeff and a couple more, we haven’t been back whether we boxed or not. And most of us did over a lifetime (15yrs) in that place.
