I use to watch Daddy Jacks vids all the time. I fell off for awhile and stumbled across this Cheese Steak vid. I usually don't read the comments but this time i did for some reason. I was literally STUNNED to read that Daddy Jack has passed on. I had watched at least 100 of his cooking videos over the years and i felt like i knew him personally although I've never actually met him. I will miss you Jack as will 1000's of others who enjoyed watching you cook all those delicious meals. The earth lost a great man but, heaven has gained an Angel. Heart felt prayers go out to Jacks family & friends! You will be missed by many. R.I.P. Chef!

I was so use to cooking these steaks with a pile of meat on side and a bucket of pre cooked onions and peppers on the side of the grill. When I use to take people order the line would be out the door and I had to remember like 30 orders at a time. I'd line up like 20 cheese steaks at a time. This is strange watching someone like this awesome chef spend an entire video on one steak. Looks delicious though and though I live in Queens New York now I still remember my Philly days briefly.

EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE who is NOT from Philly always say Philly Cheese Steak has peppers & onions automatically and traditionally on the sandwich... Well, they are ALL WRONG!!!!! I am from PHILLY born and raised and they NEVER EVER come with peppers and onions unless you ASK for them...a Philly cheese steak is just that a "steak sandwich with cheese. usually w/ Cheese whiz..which I am not opposed to but I prefer either a good american cheese or provolone. And also I PREFER fried onions...WHICH I then ASK FOR ...Just a bit of education for all of you who THINK a Philly Cheesesteak comes with peppers and onions...

Went through all the effort and diatribe against the wiz to go that route with the beef? My man knows this calls for the rib eye, you can penny pinch and make a cheese steak for 10 dollars or you can take it to the extreme and put it on the menu for 13.
