I'm not one of those people but I know it's a nightmare for police to set the correct tone between constant serious diligence and being a welcome sight for people. I like the balance in this clip and I wouldn't blame the officers dancing if some nutter was in the crowd. Odds are they still wouldn't have seen them preparing prior to doing whatever they were planning anyway. Plus there's probably just as many incidents prevented because a cop did something non-typical which changed their sightline. A twerking cop might look upwards and see a dangerous person in a window for example.

Lol, I make it a point to thank people for their service in both military and police force. My grandfather was in the navy, and my husband's family has a long history of military service with lots of friends on the force. It's often a thankless job, and one with many dangers. If me using basic manners and paying for a meal when I can will put a smile on their face, I will gladly do so. :)
