Anything that can be hit with a Sneakstrike?

Yes this works but isn't needed since just with the 80 damage and the sneakstrike multi without an attack buff this works on anything that can be stealth attacked.

You dont really need the stealth bonus, its the puffshrum that enables the sneakstrike, so evil spirit will be better. On both sets you can eat for attack up buff and it will stuck

You don't need any armor. The puffshroom enables the sneak strike. So just wear what you want.

It looks cooler too

Puffshroom can't always cover all the enemies around and it can dissipate,so sneak allow you to go to monster back outside of puffshroom or after puffshroom ends.

Sneakstrike without the bonus is an 8x multiplier, and I am 99% certain Improved Sneakstrike is a 16x damage multipler, so yes, it's just a 2x multiplier. As for how I know, I tested it. I shot a Silver Boss Boko with a 50 damage bow, counting the hits. The bow broke, I switched to a 10 damage spear. Unless I miscounted, the Silver Boss Boko had between 1211 and 1220 hp, probably 1220 since it's a nice round number. Then, I reloaded so I can reuse the bow and spear to check other mob's HP later. This time, I sneakstruck it with a 73 damage Eightfold Blade I had lying around my inventory. It didn't kill, but it left the boss boko at low enough HP to die in 1 more hit. If Improved Sneakstrike was a 16x multipler, that sneakstrike would have done 1168 damage. One more hit would take it to 1241 total damage. The 80 damage sword does 1280 damage. So the math checks out.

If it is 2x (which from my play time seems likely the case) then no gerudo weapon would match. A Pristine Eightfold Blade fused with a Silver Lynel Saber Horn would be 70, and a sneakstrike would do 16 times that. The closest Gerudo weapon is the Scimitar of the Seven. Paired with that same Silver Lynel Saber horn it gets 138 attack and a sneakstrike would do x8 of that. It's close, but 16 points less. The Eightfold blade can also get a modifier, ideally durability but any attack up buff would provide an extra x16 times that modifier. But really, using the Gerudo weapon for sneak strikes would be wasting it's true potential which is for bosses and other strong enemies, while the Eightfold Blade is MADE for sneak strikes. Eightfold Blades have more durability than most Gerudo weapons (SotS has a durability of 60 though, which is one of the highest in the game) and fusion adds even more durability to them than it does Gerudo weapons. You can get more out of each weapon if you keep them to their own uses, rather than sneakstriking with the gerudo weapon and having to keep up with how much durability is left on them when you get into combat and potentially being left with weaker weapons for actual combat. It also helps keep them largely balanced so you end up needing to repair them both around the same time rather than needing to make separate trips to the Eldin Mountains to repair them.

Bonus damage from the Improved Sneakstrike trait is x2, for a total sneakstrike damage multiplier of x16. Silver Boss bokos have between 1211-1220hp (I counted using a 50 damage bow, switching to a 10 damage spear when it got low.) Without any damage buffs from armor or food, the 80 damage sword shown in the video oneshots the boss boko. A sneakstrike from a 73 damage Eightfold Blade I had lying around did not, but one more hit from the weapon killed it after. With a x16 multiplier, those 2 swords do 1280 and 1168 damage, respectively. So it's either a x2 multipler, or close enough to it to make no difference. And yes, 2462 was also the number I came up with for a maximised setup using Bone Prof and Attack Up. For reference, Gold Moblins in BOTW had 1620hp. So this setup should be useful if we get a Master Mode.

If you exploit in an unbearably overpowered weapon, why would you care about sneak strike? You kill everything in a few hits maximum regardless. This is for more legit players.

And when your korok hunting and hunting other kings those silver mobs become a pest and taking them out in one hit it better than letting them be so they can hit and slow you down

Korok weapons have an ability to Re-use items. It won't consume the item.

There's only a chance of it showing up at certain places. Not every ghost soldier has one but certain ones have a chance of containing it.

Depends on your exp value. If it's too low the weapon won't spawn with any enhancements.

Having now done the math, you should be able to one-shot silver Boss Bokoblins with a +7 attack bonus or greater. (I did have to count their HP myself, that info doesn't seem to be online anywhere yet, and you can't see it ingame unlike BOTW.)

Yeah, the couple videos I saw of this guy is him doing long setups that aren't really that necessary. The majority of the work in this set up is being done by the Eightfold blade, and even a decayed one with a weaker material is good early on. So if it was a tutorial I would say "Go get an eightfold blade, but a strong horn you have on it, and go into the depths and get some Puffshrooms. There', that should be able to one shot a lot of enemies." The other stuff is completely unnecessary and the time spent getting it would likely be better spent doing something else, like getting parts of the Phantom armor, or going for one of the towers, or something.

All of this setup is really just optimization. You could get solid mileage out of a decayed eightfold blade with a decent fusion material just throwing the puffshrooms and skip the stealth armor because it doesn't matter once you're in the smoke.

Btw just a question I've noticed a lot of people don't upgrade armour, like even your stealth video you don't update the armour at the Great Fairies, instead just upgrade weapons and that's it. Does upgrading only affect the defense of the armour doesn't improve its ability?

How is this better than a Molduga Hammer from a Pristine Royal Guard's Claymore and Molduga Jaw with Bone Weapon Proficiency from either Radiant or Evil Spirit armour? That's 284 damage if you get it to its last hit and only use it for mounting so it doesn't break. Use the info well...

@@kennycarter5682 Honestly that’s amazing for early-midgame as it means you don’t have to avoid anything you run into as long as you can fight well. Radiant Armour is purchased from Kakariko, which is not exactly hard to get to. But the Molduga Jaw does require going to Gerudo.

@@mixanblend ya im saving Gerudo for last in general as im a sucker for deserts and egyptian pyramid themes.. save the best for last if i say so myself. i can kill a silver lynal these days in about 10 strikes from my lynal melter. and once i get more damage up gear. its a go time. i recently figured out how to parry lynals for easy face shots. so. im nearly unbeatable as long as i got my shield out and i dont lose my special lynal melter.
