I just returned from Rome, where I visited the Piazza Del Campo, where he was burned alive, and experiencing that location has compelled me to look deeper into his story, as well as deeper into my life. Thank you again.🙏🏽

This is quite interesting, foolish fish just made a video briefing on this and id like to take a deeper look at brunos works. I'm waiting on several books in the mail and ive been looking at possible hermetic principals in Welsh and vedic sources, theres so many books/works out there to go through and I'm happy we live in such an open time. Although I'm sure if we get to close to truths the powers that be will step in without a doubt.

Giordano Bruno was a true master in many ways. His works are not easy, especially the writings in Latin, which include most of the magic related writings. His depth is truly remarkable. You will have a lot of "wow" moments going through Bruno's works. Thanks for the feedback!

@@academiamagicae I am about to be getting into learning Sanskrit and there's articles I've been reading that may be true in relation to Sanskrit being one of the languages that even Latin comes from, Latin is a language that I suppose we all take for granted considering how many languages it affects and I again am grateful that we live in such a society full of open minds and have information so readily available.

Hello, despite being almost certain that Bruno was familiar with Eastern philosophy such as Daoism and Buddhism (considering also the similarity between his sigils and Buddhist's mandalas), unfortunately there are no historical evidences to prove or source such a connection.

I’d be curious to know if you’ve heard of Vernon Howard. He was an esoteric teacher from the 20th century in the US. He wasn’t concerned with symbolism or occult history but his teachings were deeply personal and practical to the individual and his or hers psychic condition. He has helped me immensely. Superb video. The cigils look like requency patterns. Do you find anything in that connection? Have you found evidence or record of any conversation between Giordano Bruno and John Dee?
@academiamagicae2 жыл бұрын
Paul, thank you very much for the feedback! The sigils do reflect frequency patterns indeed. Bruno may have based his sigils' studies on the concepts of the Mathesis Universalis, the search for the underlying matrix of reality based on mathematics and geometry. Unfortunately there is no evidence of him actually meeting with Dr. Dee, for sure they knew about each other through the group of Philip Sydney. They may have missed each other as it seems Dee was traveling across Europe while Bruno was in London. He did meet with Shakespeare though and deeply influenced his thoughts and plays, especially "Love's Labor's Lost" that has a lot in common with Bruno's writings.
@PaulWallis2 жыл бұрын
@@academiamagicae Thank you. What a fascinating period of history. Dee and Bruno are interesting counterparts. John Dee offered his wisdom to Maximilien II and his services to Queen Elizabeth I - and thereby survived - just! Giordano, on the other hand, gave his information to the public in book form and speaking tours - and it seems was punished for it. Just one layer of a fascinating story. Yours is the best presentation on Giordano that I have seen. It is interesting that a number of Bruno's key insights find parallels in Eastern thought. Yet I have not found evidence of his knowledge of Eastern traditions, other than perhaps second hand via Egypt / Hermeticism. I will subscribe to your channel. Thank you again.

So was Bruno suggesting that you could transmit ideas via sigils? For example I make a sigil that has deep meaning for myself but you get ahold of the sigil & by meditation, you are able to tap into that knowledge? Or was he saying that the sigil would allow the individual who created it to tap into deeper wells of knowledge?
@academiamagicae3 жыл бұрын
Exactly as you said, sigils allows the individual to tap into deeper wells of knowledge. Which, it makes so much sense when compared to the use of sigils in magick in general.

Thanks for the kind feedback! All my books of Bruno and about Bruno are either in Italian or Latin but I have found the followings in English that can be a good start, I definitely recommend to read about Bruno first before reading Bruno's works: - Giordano Bruno by Ingrid D. Rowland - Giordano Bruno: The Prophet of the infinite universe by Guido del Giudice. - Also Frances Yates' Giordano Bruno and the Hermetic Tradition is a great book to understand the context of his life/teachings. In case you can read Italian, all the Guido del Giudice's books are good along with 2 collections by UTET publisher: Opere Italiane (Works in Italian) and Opere Latine (Works in Latin), both with great introductions and notes. FInally, Opere Magiche published by Adelphi is the ultimate collection of Bruno's works related to magic and Hermetics. Hope it helps!

Hello, it is Gabriele La Porta. Unfortunately he passed away on 2019 and (one of his) masterpiece on GB hasn't been translated in English yet (Giordano Bruno: Vita e avventure di un pericoloso maestro del pensiero). I may also suggest to check out Guido del Giudice as well (GIORDANO BRUNO: The Prophet of the infinite universe). Hope it helps and thanks for watching the video!

@@academiamagicae Thank you so much! This is wonderfully helpful. The del Giudice book is not available in English either, but I can just about manage to read a book in Italian now, so I have already ordered via ABE copies of the La Porta book and Del Giudice's The Coincidence of Opposites. There is so much interesting material about Bruno available in Italian. Most Brits haven't even heard of him! Giordano who? I think I had the privilege of meeting Del Giudice at a conference a few years ago, If it is the same Del Giudice, he, too has died in the meantime. He was a very twinkly, lively old man with a great sense of humour, full of jokes. It takes some skill to make jokes in a foreign language.
@academiamagicae4 ай бұрын
@@orglancs Glad to hear you can read those books in Italian. Your level must be really good! The Del Giudice you are mentioning must be a different person, Guido Del Giudice is still alive and runs the GB Society www.giordanobruno.info/the-giordano-bruno-society/ You are right, Bruno does not have the fame he deserves...but we know that the involvement in some sort of esotericism has contributed to "cancel culture" so many great minds. Take John Dee for instance.. Anyhow, I sincerely hope you will enjoy the books and you will keep researching about him. Gabriele La Porta used to say that some people are "touched" by the master (with reference to GB) and they carry this connection wanting to know more and more about his thoughts.
