But in this Libya travel vlog, you'll find that in 2024 it is safe to take a trip and be a tourist in Libya. The situation can change quickly, so please don't rely solely on this video to when making your decision.

With that said, I absolutely LOVED the Libyan people, Libyan food and Libyan history and tourism in Libya should be on the rise. There's SO much history in Tripoli for tourists. It was formerly known as "Tripolitania" for the three ancient Mediterranean coastal cities: Oea, Sabratha and Leptis Magna.
Libya is best known for Colonel Muammar Gaddafi a revolutionary, politician and political theorist who ruled Libya from 1969 until his assassination in 2011. Initially ideologically committed to Arab nationalism and Arab socialism, Gaddafi later ruled according to his own Third International Theory.
Gaddafi was decorated with various awards and praised for his anti-imperialist stance, support for Arab-and then African-unity, as well as for significant development to the country following the discovery of oil reserves. But many Libyans strongly opposed Gaddafi's social and economic reforms; he was posthumously accused of various human rights violations. He was condemned by many as a dictator who violated human rights.

انا جزائرية وصديقتي المفضلة من ليبيا من طرابلس وتعرفت على كثير اشياء عليهم ومنهم انهم ناس لطيفين جدا وعايشين حياتهم مثل اي بلد يعني مانهم متشددين جدا ولا عندهم فكر متعصب لما حدث الفيضان عندهم وحكتلي صديقتي شو صار تعرف كم هو شعب متضامن مع بعض تحية من الجزائر ❤❤❤

I as an American with little to no trust in my government have always wondered what Afghanistan is really like. I feel that your country must also be much nicer than we are taught here in the states. Our propaganda is mighty.😊

Do not shake hands with women in Libya and all that men do is incorrect. You should know that you toured a lot in Libya and saw women, but you must remember that only those women shook hands with, meaning 0.000.1% shook hands. Thank you for your visit.@@Phils_Guide

We lived 6 years in Tripoli (1966 t0 72). My husband worked at Wheelus Air Base for the US Air Force, today Mitiga Airport. After Wheelus closed down in June 1970 it was named OKBA BEN NAFI AB and my husband worked for the Libyan Air Force for 2 yaers. Wheelus used to be like an American small town with all amenities, build along the Mediterranean Sea. Our sons were born during that time. There was a large housing area and trailer area for the millitary families. Civilian empoyees lived off base. We lives outside the Eastgate om an Italien farm, called Castligione. We are Germans. Many Euopeans were employed by the US Air Force.

I think Libyans are very kind. Once I was in Koln city walking a man asked me to show him a street, where there’s PRIMARK STORE. I showed him and he asked if I can help him shopping to buy me clothes by my surprised he handed me everything. Infact he gifted me . I denied but he insisted. So Libyans . Am are kind still wandering ❤

I’m so grateful to have found your videos! I can’t afford to travel, but seeing these beautiful places that are very stigmatized by western culture is such a gift! The people of Libya are wonderful ❤ I wish we could all live on this planet without governments and borders. No wars or exploitation. Just mutually beneficial exchanges of resources and culture. That’s my dream.

Thank you. Having grown up in Tripoli from the age of 3 until 1960 at the age of 17, it is hugely encouraging to see the renovated streets of the Old City, and the positive attitudes of the people after all the traumas that Libyans have experienced. I have never been back since 1960, but this gives me encouragement to investigate going back.

Everyone thinks that we are in a state of conflict, and this is something that hurts me very much. OMG HI i saw this and i think its time to share my life..hello i am Yara from Libya, i was born in Uk Manchester my entire life and don't know much Arabic at all! which makes it hard to become friends and talk to relatives i normally feel extremally excluded people always call me things like english girl bla bla bla which other might like but..personally i hate it recently ive been trying to adjust but English standars and Libyan are and still are very different. libya was a much more beautiful city but after the war it was completely ruined u can find a few nice places but.. it won't be the same it saddens me i never got to live in my city well it was still shining seeing tourists like these / u open up and not care really makes me smile its 1 am but i don't care i felt the need to share a bit of my life story seeing what Ur doing! Ur amazing keep up the good work u inspire and make a lot of people like me, happy!

Next time you should visit eastern Libya in the winter. It is very different from western Libya in terms of the cities and the wonderful nature there. You will definitely fall in love with it. I was there the previous year. It is an experience really worth it.🙏🏻

I am a Libyan citizen and I love my country despite all the calamities and disasters that have occurred since 2011 due to the barbaric interference of NATO in Libya's internal affairs and the subsequent control of armed criminal groups whose loyalty is to other countries and the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group supported by Britain, Qatar and Turkey. We Libyans are a kind, brave and educated people at the same time, and we are very patient with life's difficulties and always try to find solutions to all our internal problems Economic, political and even social, and we are not much different from the rest of the peoples of the Mediterranean, and we respect all the peoples of the countries of the world who love us and respect us, except for that criminal racist Zionist entity that has been occupying the State of Palestine for 76 years, we are a good people and maintain their social traditions and we love drinking coffee, tea and natural fruit juices that we prepare in our homes ourselves and eating vegetables and fruits, barley bread and fish meat. And lamb, beef and camel meat and our food is very delicious and we honor guests and love life and live in peace and give guests your right to hospitality and generosity because it is one of our genetic traits father from grandfather for more than 1000 years and we protect our guests ourselves and by law.

Hey there, I am from Libya and I like how you showed and focused on the history of Tripoli and mostly the traditions of the country and also the hospitality of the people, and the fact that you answered that dude who asked "Are you Muslim or christian?"
