On the 15th of January 2024,
It was a day filled with joy and celebration as Mr. Ang Rita Sherpa and Nawang Doka Sherpa, residents of Khunde and currently residing in Budhanilkantha, came together with their families to unite their lives. Their son, Mr. Phinjo Wangdi Sherpa, was joined in matrimony with Miss. Aska Dolma Sherpa, the beloved daughter of Mr. Devendra Serchan and Mrs. Ang Maya Sherpa.
The day commenced with the gathering of the groom's family at Ang Rita's residence in Budhanilkantha at 7 am. Following a ceremonial Puja and a delightful breakfast, a procession of 135 well-wishers departed around 9:30 am for the Smart Darbur Party Palace in Dumbarai, where they were warmly welcomed by the bride's family.
The wedding ceremony unfolded with a ritual Puja conducted by a Lama, followed by the exchange of gifts between the two families. The climax of the day occurred at 3.30 pm with the symbolic exchange of rings between the groom and bride. Sherpa dances added a cultural flair to the festivities, and the day concluded with the bride accompanying the groom back to his home.
The evening was further adorned with a delightful dinner, accompanied by music that resonated with joy, creating a memorable atmosphere of celebration and love. May the newlywed couple embark on a journey filled with happiness, understanding, and shared dreams.
