I recall hearing similar comments recently. Unfortunately I have a prior obligation this summer when they're coming to town.

Overall greatness and positive things are being done in all ways. They’ve dissected much of their stuff and regrowing it is so important to the vitality of the bands appreciation and respect for their creativity. Everything is good with the peoples and the band. Great time for phishing imo. Harder edge and more fun with the tones and then the next multiple levels of the rage side and the white guy on ivory’s, and vastly deepening sonic vibe rations.

I showed my instructor the beginning of Bathtub Gin..... All he said was, "Jazz influenced." I was shocked by how little of an impression it made.

I had the same sort of situation. Described the Riverport Gin to a history of jazz professor using the vocab,etc learned in class. Went from a C to an A for the class. Made him a Phish fan too I'd say.

Looked like a little different crowd imo than the last few years of playing the music and needed return of the madness of dancing with abandon that we are all known for in our deadphishpanic eras/worlds la Familia . Slowing which songs down? Other than the slow maze and the slow llama, I haven't heard anything else be slowed down.

@@theloniouszappa bands traditionally play less notes and choose them more wisely with age. Tempo slows, tone sweetens, the space between the notes becomes more important.
