Overwhelming moment looking back on it.

what we got was the greatest band in the world delivering an all night historic performance that began at 11:30pm and went unti shortly after 8 in the morning, it was insane and i was there :)

Too bad they didn't show Trey's speech! THE RIGHT LANE IS FOR TRAVELING, THE LEFT LANE IS FOR PASSING!!

I will never forget Big Cypress....EPIC.

I live in NY and drove down (and back) for this show. Still the best weekend of my life. I remember on the way home, every other car had a sign that said "cheesecake" or had it written in dust. On the highways, at the gas stations, people were screaming "cheesecake". Everyone else looked at us like we were crazy. Maybe we were, but they missed out.

I proposed to my wife at 11:59:59 on this night. What a momentous and glorious evening that will never be forgotten. ;) CHEESECAKE!!!

These guys were by far the greatest thing to ever happen to music. The unfortunate thing is they get thrown in the pot of all the other jambands. 215 shows for me, Loved every minute of it.

I was there. Epic. The most epic set I ever saw to this day.

CHEESECAKE!!! One of the most amazing times ever, I was there, scrunched up all the way in the front with a whole slew of my friends. Ah, priceless, cherished memories.....

I wish i wasn't 8 years old then and could have been there. But i have started my journey and cannot get enough. Changed my life to say the least.

75,000 tickets sold. . but how many more were like us and snuck in? Out of the 8 people in our group that went to that show. . only 3 of us had tickets. ;) It was an adventure to say the least. Amazing experience.

I was there too. I had a blast with all of my friends. For most of us, it was a closing point in our lives, as we were all graduating and getting ready to start our lives. This was actually my last show. I don't really miss Phish, as that part of my life is behind me. I enjoyed it greatly and am thankful for the experience, but I had plenty to remember for the rest of my life. There will never be anything like taking long road trips with a dozen friends in my life again....

That was a great time. The traffic was insane. It took us two days to even get out too.

My dad went to this show, and I will forever be jealous. My mom was pregnant with me so she didn't go. I would do ANYTHING to have been there that night.

I remember seeing this on TV while waiting for the 1-01-2000 Millenium to arrive, just minutes away

i was there!! beat the epic traffic jam by leaving early and driving around tents on way out. 2 hours to get in, 2 hours to get out, and man i'd do it all again with no regret!! at this point in the show I was hippy flippin' and kinda depressed Heavy Things was the song the nation would hear, but now, years later, it's all good! headin for Charloote and Raleigh this friday/saturday, then Mantras after party show in Raleigh, can't _bleeping- wait! Gotta love The Phish!

I was 15 at the time and a freshman in highschool. My older soccer buddy who was on varsity wanted to take me down to this but I couldn't bc I got in trouble. I still to this day wonder what it would have been like. Thanks for the post. keep phishin

this whole song tugs at something i forget i have sometimes.

Well when I first was introduced to phish i couldnt really get into it at all and thought it wasnt very good but what really did it for me was when i saw trey in concert and he played 46 days and gotta jibboo and right then i was just hooked and now i have been in love with phish for over a year and plan on loving them for the rest of my life they mean more then anything to me. But dude all you need it time and maturity and you will soon understan

their mini reunion was so sick.. even tho page wasn't there i wanted to cry. Front row and trey looked straight into my eyes. I know they are coming back!

It was more than worth waiting in traffic- being stuck on Alligator Alley was fun, a lot of good memories. Besides, we were only waiting in traffic to park and set up camp- no one was in a big hurry.

Have listened to this show, the whole thing, 9 or 10 times. The AUD is pretty terrific but they need to release a full SBD box of it. They have said they will. Don't know why the wait has been so long.

Yeah man i was at the DMB show in saratoga, and trey had a sweet solo, though he forgot to play the end of the song.. hahaha just put his guitar down and went off the stage. i wish i was BORN earlier to go to a Phish show. I love everything about them.

@kenabis00420 looks like you got 2 great shows. Charlotte especially. I got to see the 1st night in Alpharetta. It was my first show since IT in 2003. They are playing so well right now. Hope you had a great time. I love KZfaq for the sole fact that there are so many great Big Cypress fan videos now being posted. That was my one regret after leaving Cypress...that I didn't bring a video camera. But, alas, no regrets anymore! Such an amazing experience.

Ahhhh so many better songs were played at this amazing event but I guess this is the most TV friendly. I was within 15 rows of the stage the whole festival and I can see my self @ 4:11-4:20!!!!! I have never really looked at this video closely but there I am with a goofy spaced out look on my face:)! This was an amazing experience!

The pinnacle of the first 10 years of Phish tour... happened... on an ancient sandbar in the middle of the Everglades swamp. Given the location of the site, I was expecting something, uhh, swampy. Well, as it turns out, it was some of the most pleasant upland Floridian cow pasture I have ever experienced :-)

I was there but I was sooooo tired because I was up all night in the traffic and it was too hot to sleep in the tent during the day, but it was still awesome. The Great Went was better though.

I think this is still the highest point of my life, in many different ways :P

marxist84 - this was for a big festival..a 2 day thing. Of course prices were high. Their ticket prices are generally $32-45 for 3 hours of music in large venues.

You know, Peter Jennings has been a household name since the 80`s, and while Phish is a popular band they are far from mainstream and still quite underground as far as popular music is concerned - even in the US. I think more Americans know who Peter Jennings is than Phish.
