ANC Youth League executive member in the Free State, Phiwe Mathe, insists that he will not relinquish his post, citing that the step-aside rule does not apply to Youth League members. Mathe is facing charges of assault after allegedly hitting the mother of his child. ANCYL Zama Khanyase NATIONAL spokesperson says the ANC is their parent body, they take wisdom from them and so the step-aside policy applies even to the Youth League.

What 'step aside rule'? None of the ANC members bother with it, why should he? Not condoning what he did, put him in jail if he is guilty, any man who has to hit anything weaker, female, child, or animal is not a man, he is a weakling.
