Ironically the Abrams is nicknamed the "whispering death" .. because they cruise nice and quiet .. acceleration from a stop is loud with a supercharger kinda pitched squealing .. but cruising is quite quiet.

Or even a Battlefield-esque Breakthrough style of game where the attacking team has to take 1-3 caps to unlock a new set of objectives for 2-4 rotations. They have big enough maps, they have the sp system, it makes perfect sense, they simply have no vision beyond "hurr durr buy new tank please...thats almost exactly the same as the last two just 1km/hr faster and 2mm more pen..."

Fun thing about Abrams. As infantry you can't hide/follow behind one for there is an angry dragon hidden in it that breathes hot JP8 exhaust.

You'd think since they added those more progressive pushes in enlisted they could do the same in war thunder. There definitely needs to be more game modes, especially since the coop modes are a garbage fire

This is my favorite tank in the game hands down. It's even better in my opinion than the later Abrams because it can hold it's own at top tier but usually fights much lower BR enemies.

Ah yes I remember war thunder in 2002, I was only 2 years old but I remember playing the m22 locust (even tho I was really bad back then) but when the m1 Abrams was released i was overwhelmed with joy and grind for hours to get it. Ah good times

Yeah, breakthrough/rush and frontlines were probably my favorite gamemodes in battlefield. Probably the only time players got into actual defensive lines and attack formations. Conquest is fun and all but that usually develoves into 3 or 4 separate TDMs gling on or 1 team outright wiping the map and spawn camping.

I would love to see a game mode for naval where you do "Harbor Assaults" like in Navyfield, or island hopping where you actually capture islands with landing craft and amphibious tanks. Would also think it could be cool to have Artillery in GRB be from either ships off the coast of some maps or from artillery "tanks".

Something that makes the Abrams (in real life) so dominant in the battlefield is that it is a tried and true tank. Few countries around the world can say that their crews would without a doubt trust the performance of their main battle tank. Yes they train in them, this that and the other things but most have never been battle tested. The first iteration of tigers passed their initial tests but broke down more often than not after just a few months of service. “Tried and true” beats “technically better” every time.

you can hear an Abrams from 100m away, its the loudest tank in the game with the Maus.

I would love a video about ideas for new game modes!! I think that with your platform you could maybe get gaijins attention and maybe they will consider putting something in the works!

They could do a rush scenario from battlefield with atleast 10 players on each team to start with join after battle start on and have like 1,000,000 tickets and have 4 or 5 caps on a relatively large maps ( teir specific of course) but common this is Gaijin were talking about here

A supremecy game mode would be nice. Essentially team deathmatch except each team has a SP pool of like 5,000 or 10,000 (depending on the amount of players in the match and this'll make staying alive and playing well more imperative to the success of the team). As the battle progresses capture points could periodically spawn around the map (lasting 5 minutes before despawn) which when captured gives your team an extra 1,000 SP allowing dead players to respawn and repairs, rearms, and crew replenish the player(s) that captured the zone (giving incentive to active players to move around the map). Aircraft and helicopters can spawn in aswell after 5 minutes or so. The match ends when one team runs out of SP or player vehicles. This probably would need it's own matchmaking since most likely it would last longer and not all players would want it in regular match rotation with battle and domination modes.

War Thunder really needs a game mode like Planetside 2. Just hop in, fight, do your objectives, hop out whenever

They could have RUSH mode from bf, protect high value targets like bridges, factories, infantries, escort convoys... or even some logistic co-op, air crane helos taking supplyes to bases, deeploying para-troopers... there is so much they could explore

Phly! how about a series of videos similar to the triathalon sections of the shooting range? comparing similar tanks of multiple countries. 3.3 medium tanks (Sherman's, pz4, t-34, Cromwell, p40, chi nu) or 10.0 mbts (abrams, t-80b, 2a4, ariete p etc) I feel that would be cool from your perspective

I believe the game mode you are looking for PhlyDaily is the world war mode which one is coming out this year "allegedly"

Phly, I agree with you on the lack of game modes. I would hope that top tier would have larger area maps and gameplay like wargame red dawn (or steal division). I would like to see something like what you were talking about where you can join into a larger on going game but maybe for a role (air, ground or sea).

I wish I was playing since then but I was a year old sadly. Glad to see the game is still alive
