Your videos got me into playing War Thunder and iam not gonna lie it's a really fun game ww2 thru Cold War era tanks and jets can't beat that !

Keep in mind that the Japanese Defense Forces were exactly that, defensive forces intended to defend against an enemy attack during the cold war. The type 74 was built in response to the introduction of the T-62 and incorporated the new "kneeling" hydro-pneumatic suspension (from the MBT-70 prototype). The chance that they would face superior MBTs was low, unless an amphibious attack brought them (or air-landed).

Hey phly, I think I have a cool idea for a new series like since you're a VERY experienced warthunder player, I think it would be really cool if you done a series about how to PHLY each main plane to its best at each BR and on each country, it would help bring new players into the war thunder community and also help people like me who are newer players and find it hard to PHLY against people who know what they're doing. For example on the first episode you could try and go over the basics and the basic planes etc and then as the series progresses get into the more nitty gritty parts to war thunder like manoeuvres to shake people off of your tail and get onto theirs etc. Thanks for reading whoever you are ATTEMPT NUMERO DEUX

You know, the M4 Sherman, wich is BR 2.7 I believe, also get a stabilization. Same goes to the M5 Stuart.

What happened in the intro happens to me all the time recently and it gets me killed all the time too. All that time spent learning every tanks Anatomy and all of that knowledge is almost completely useless now. Now Begins the long process of retraining my muscle memory to shoot for crew instead of ammo. (only if tiny objects in the tank would stop absorbing my entire shell)

The Leo, Type 74, and the AMX 30 all developed from the idea that with the widespread proliferation of HEAT(FS) in post-war tank warfare, armor would be all but useless as the penetrative power of shaped-charge rounds is more than any respectable amount of armor can protect from. With this in mind, the three "sister" tanks were built with a focus on mobility and firepower instead of armor.

Te ST-B1 being at 7.7 is a vanity battle rating. With the ERA patch, the Japanese tree did not have any tank below the 9.0 BR, so Gaijin decided to drop the ST-B1 down to 7.7, so Japanese faction players at least have one high tier (7.0+) tank which does not get into Tier 6 battles, otherwise they would be stuck with only the Type 61 at 6.7 and lower. When they add more tanks in the 7.3-9.0 BR the ST-B1 will be likely corrected/put back to 8.0/8.3 BR.

Take out the 29-k with the NEW flak shell mechanic! *What you do is use the HE shells and use the rangefinder then it'll set a fuse for that shell.*

It is T-34-57 on its BR. T-34-57 on 4.3, the same as 5.3, medium-tank-armored light tank with a modernized Pz. IV F2 gun.

Combined arms series: I discovered something with the Do-335-A-0 his 15mm cannons/machineguns have 50mm of armor penetration. So: Take the Do with 15mm with any Tiger but I will prefer that you take the Tiger II P. Attempt nº4

I love the stb-1 its a great tank though i play it in Sim Battles only i never do realistic battles so that may make a difference not sure.

great video phly. anyway i feel like the STB-1 is a lot better than the leopard 1 since in my experience i can get more kills in it than the leo. also i can shoot faster than the leo because it have a stabilizer
