The union is the problem not the solution.

Aww they didn’t give you the report first. 😂😂😂 Good. That is a sign that the DOJ is moving in the right direction.

While I agree PPD needs cleaned up, having the Feds running the department isn't an upgrade and will have long term impact on the city. I live in a city that had our department run by the Feds and it hasn't been pretty for decades. Exchanging one government for another isn't the answer. What the Feds should be doing is Federally charging criminal officers in PPD and cleaning things up that way rather than taking over the department.

Need more oversight,possibly an unlimited power citizen control board to view and control police actions

He didn't even believe the spew he was spewin. But you got to hand it to him, he was given it the old liar try. Unions are the problem so is qualified immunity.

It's not difficult to clean up a department. You simply hold the employees accountable for violations and quit slapping them on the wrist or claiming you investigated and found no wrong doing, even when there is video evidence and you lose lawsuits. It means there WAS WRONG DOING, so quit burying your head in the sand and do what is right. If the department leadership won't do their job, then they like the wrong doing rank and file need to be held accountable, fired, charged.

scrap police unions
@robertgates516415 күн бұрын
What would that solve? Unions don't run the departments. Are you aware of the issues in police departments prior to unions? Nepotism, good old boy systems, promotions and assignments based purely upon friendship/family, good officers unfairly treated or run off by corrupt leaders because they had no protections, ridiculous work schedules, etc. Perhaps you aren't old enough to remember those days but it was bad and those are primarily the reasons that police unions came into being. Are police unions now too political? Absolutely and have the cities and towns caved in and agreed to far too much to their public employees? That is beyond doubt. The real problem is that local governments do a crappy job of running their municipalities. Doing away with public sector unions won't solve the problem and would also be unconstitutional. Getting rid of most aspects regarding qualified immunity would be another good start to fixing government issues.

Hey, since Phoenix has become a suburb of Los Angeles now with all the California refugees, have they considered decriminalizing crime and neutering the police? It seems to have worked incredibly well for California 😂 🤡

Well maybe if cops did policing the correct way and there wouldn't be a need for a consent decree
@DefaultUser179016 күн бұрын
@@user-hj4uf9wz1z your definition of the “correct way” would be nothing but idealistic takes on how things should have gone, after reviewing them in hindsight. Keep living in a fairy tale.
@user-hj4uf9wz1z16 күн бұрын
@DefaultUser1790 you could maybe make that argument if they didn't have a pattern and practice of the cops doing it continously and not being held accountable for those actions but even that argument would be weak if you do it wrong you get in trouble documented trouble to show held accountable and then you don't do it again right
@DefaultUser179016 күн бұрын
@@user-hj4uf9wz1z hey, feel free to keep pushing for whatever you think correct policing looks like. All you are going to do is continue to push people out of the profession, and replace them with even less competent people who are not guaranteed to be anymore compassionate, fair or reliable when an actual dynamically unfolding incident happens. If you truly fear that corrupt cops are everywhere, watching and waiting to entrap you while you’re going about your business, then I guess you can neuter them and enjoy the predatory behavior that always grows as a side effect from the people who take advantage of lax criminal penalties.

Every cop shreds the 1st 4th and 8th amendments of our constitution on every shift. They are, by definition, traitors to America. You can back the blue or the constitution, not both.
