THE FIGHT FOR KRAKOA HAS BEEN LOST! Ten years ago, the mutants returned from their exile to try and reclaim the Earth from the forces of Orchis. They failed. Now, within the victorious Orchis with their gauntlet choking the world, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel put their plan within a plan into action. They are to summon their binary god to consume everything in their accession. All that stands between them is the X-Men. What can they do? They're the X-Men. They'll find a way. That's their power. Thank you for not deigning to cover that “Miss Marvel or whatever it is that is going on.” I don’t think anyone who has followed the Krakoa era from the onset with House/Powers of X in 2019 would disagree that DEI characters and gratuitous titles diluted the greatest X-men story that could have been into an incoherent mess of timelines and loose ends. Miss Marvel, who will never be a mutant in my book, being foisted upon us and the X-men signifies this issue. She is the bane of Marvel comics, a thrice cancelled diversity zero who brought nothing to the story in Miss Marvel style. I am still holding onto hope that she will be killed in X-men 35 w/ no resurrection. That would be a great conclusion to the X-men.

She didn't need to absorb the mutant heaven to reach that level of power, but i understand why they did this instead of granting jean her White Phoenix form, they needed to get rid of resurrection and to shift how many mutants there were, ugh i loved this era 😫❤️

We'll see about the White-Hot Room Krakoa Mutants & Resurrection. Hope is gone but she's part of Jean/Phoenix and Synch could have her powers already stashed in him. Could he use a old copy of the backup to restore a clone, is a possibility? We've seen Sinister & Nasty Beast make clones of themselves with memories of previous selves, so it doesn't have to done by the five to bring a copy of a decreased mutant. Krakoa, the island still exists, but might now be hiding away from humans, which could go to the Savage Land or join Arakko on Mars, it can do as it chooses. Hiding from the remnants of Orchis & governments will be what the mutants will do. We'll see what the next issue brings on Charles, as I can't get a handle from the review, whether Jean realizes that when Xavier/Moira's action left Enigma defenseless, that they could have probably have lost to Enigma, if Moira hadn't chose wisely. Xavier's actions were needed, contrary to everyone's thinking of Xavier. I'll have to read my copy when I pick it up.

No, they cannot. Cloning is NOT an option as the eggs that are created by Egg are another completely separate dimension. Even if they did make a clone of Hope, she wouldn't have the same abilities or power or mentality as the original! Hope CANNOT replicated in any way, since she is the mutant Messiah!!

Talk about full circle. It was Kieron Gillen who super-charged Sinister in the first place to be a worthy opponent to the likes of the Phoenix, many years ago, when Sinister defeated the Phoenix Five around 2012, Avengers vs X-Men.

I think the final issue would have the wet wrap up loose ends including MR And seeing Jean get her revenge On her will be so satisfying. I know they're not gonna bring back this character. She served her purpose and. She's gonna well Be a loose end which they will wrap up. ENIGMA the most generic and Lemus villains ever. Of all the talks saying he's that powerful, but really he was some. Guy who had powers but pretty much the Phoenix beat him easily And that's the end. Which makes him the most lame assessment villains by non.

I read this last night after buying it from my LCS. I am happy that both Xavier and Moira redeemed themselves and Moira got her "happy ending". I hope the X-Men are made aware of what Xavier did in the week he had to wrap up his affairs before he contacted the authorities to apprehend him. I like that cyborg Moira still could be pulled into the Astral Plane, because we already saw Nimrod itself could enter the Astral Plane. The 5 (minus Hope) are stuck in the White Hot Room. It would have to be Synch who joins the remaining 4 to be able to resurrect mutants again. There better be a really good reason why Storm would leave Arakko and relocate back to earth - joining the Avengers is a major step down for her.

They already in a press release that by having Storm join the Avengers, they would have a mutant voice on the team and to show humans that mutants are not a great evil to be afraid of

@@MatthewLoh-ru1mw They already did this before under the original Captain America in Uncanny Avengers. It didn't change anything - mutants are still hated and feared the world over. Storm being an Avenger will change nothing since the Avengers are all about keeping the status quo. In contrast, the X-Men are all about change and Storm being the leader of Arakko was all about change. The Phoenix needs to go back in time and retcon Wanda and Maximoff into being mutants again, along with Franklin Richards.

Loved that scene with Phoenix and all the X-Men. What i think is stupid is Xavier being arrested. He's the head of state of an entire nation; he should have diplomatic immunity! This would be considered an act of war by any other country.

He quite literally committed war crimes for Orchis under threat, killing an untold number of humans for them, directly assaulting likely various levels of worldwide governments… Him being arrested and imprisoned, is surprisingly the least I expected him to be given. They could have always killed him, but they probably recognize extenuating circumstances and gave him life imprisonment instead.

Thank you for all the videos catching me up on the story. Overall, messy, poor writing imo. I believe the rumors of Marvel rushing to wipe out the xmen universe to restart it with a closer similarity to what's planned for the MCU, and that worries me greatly (especially with the upcoming random unknowns in Exceptional Xmen, plus the peculiar selection of Oya and Kid Omega into the main Xmen roster). All I'm saying is, the Xmen deserved better than this.

It was interesting to see different mutants with the phoenix force ,but it's still rushed and i probably expected a more epic battle between the phoenix and enigma . On one page i noticed Storm to be with her classic look and the next page Storm is illustrated with her current look when she's with the phoenix force on both pages ,rushed 😑. The artwork was good though. Let's see where they will go with Krakoa and Arrako and what they will do with Xavier .

It's nice to see Jean back with the Phoenix, May it last. Hopefully they can just keep her status quo without making her crazy or killing her in the stupidest ways. I'm excited for her limited series. I have not enjoyed the last 5 years of the X-Men I did not like it at all and I'm hoping we go back to the roots of simple comic books and not living Islands.

Speaking of your last word cbguy, I think resurrection is off the table now because hope is out of the picture right? She's the essential member of the five, and she's in the Phoenix now, right? Another interesting note: you mentioned Arrako and new Krakoa in the white hot room, but from what I understand after reading the last issue of Rise of the powers is that Krakoa itself--the original island itself has been restored by now, probably due to apocalypse sacrificing Wrongslide in the last crucible. On page 4, I believe, a location stamp indicates that Scott and the other X Men, along with Destiny and Sinister, are on "Krakoa, Earth". Not new Krakoa. Not Arrako. They are presumably still there after Jean returns at the end of the issue, having vanquished Enigma. So with Orchis and Nimrod obliterated and Enigma stomped out, what is it that finally destroys Krakoa? Why is Destiny still so scared, even after the mutants have prevailed? What's waiting for the X Men in issue 35/700?

I thought that Charles Xavier was going to pull something, like the thing that he did to the 13 year old Moira was some kind of mental implant so that he can access her mind and pass through to Enigma, and that he was going to go to Enigma when he brought all of the other dominions together and he would overtake Enigma and absorbe the rest of the dominions in him in some way and he becomes like the ultimate dominion who is ridiculously powerful. I do find it a bummer that resurrection is off of the table because however cheap and convenient that it was to have a way to bring back characters I liked it because it was just a set system in place unlike past things where characters died and it turns out that they didn't actually die because of plot, or if they do die they just come back, either by Apokolypse or something else. Now... who knows what is going to happen. Unless there is another way for resurrection through maybe Mr. Sinister, or even Beast, because Beast was able to resurrect himself without the use of the five. So we will see what happens next.

I’m not looking forward to X-men going forward. This era definitely had some fumbles, especially when it came to wolverine. Arrako, storm, and legion shined through though. I don’t really care for sinister so a story where he’s multiplied by 4 wouldn’t sound like something I would be into but sins of sinister was dumb alternate timeline fun. Children of the vault was a good concept too. Oh well .

I thought this was a really good way of resetting things all things considered (with all the timy wimy stuff it would be hard to manage). It seems Moira will go back to her original story line in effect, where she is a non-mutant that is associated with mutants, and can have the regular relationships she had without her being an enemy or causing craziness to happen. The way i interpret it is the Phoenix sort of reset the timeline in such a way that krakoa exists outside of time-space, but the main time line doesn't really have the rise of krakoa happen (it is now an alternative timeline of sorts), or perhaps I'm mistaken. Again, as the Doctor said, it's all timey wimey.... (By the way, there is a way the marvel multiverse and doctor who intersect, they have both had crossovers with star trek the next generation (there is an xmen star Trek crossover and a doctor who star trek crossover)). To be honest, I think krakoa must have happened to some degree in the main time line but not sure what the time line actually is.

I think moria went to a new timeline but this timeline remains intact. So Moira is removed from this timeline and moved into her own. This timeline will continue on with everything that has happened.

@comicbreakdown maybe, but we didn't see a restored Quinn during fall of X, yet we did see Logan, Laura, etc who were invovleb in the Sabertooth War. I'm thinking resurrection is still on the table, just in a limited and/or temporary capacity. 🤔

So outside of how incredibly-pathetic "Enigma"(ima just gonna call him Essex, he doesn't deserve a nickname) ended up being, we do recognize that the balance of power on Earth is now completely fucked, right? All the most-powerful mutants are alive and well(except Quentin, apparently, who took the L and died for basically no reason), with the cosmic-entity-defeating Phoenix Force actively on their side and with absolutely zero "natural predators" left - Orchis gone, children of the vault gone, Sinister will either be dealt with in X-Men 35 or be in hiding for a long-ass time. What is even left for X-Men as far as villains go? Fighting Galactus? I mean Jean'll solo him in about 5 minutes at this point, she soloed Essex with little issue and he was hyped as an overwhelming threat to the entire Multiverse.

Techno intelligence existing outside of spacetime. The first Dominion was the Phalanx, which the X-men have faced a few times before. Essex (Sinister) predicted the rise of computer intelligence back when he was human in the Victorian era so created his own hive of clones to combat them, a collective intelligence giving rise to his becoming a Dominion himself. He was the only thing that was a true threat to the One Above All, a timetravelling god that manipulated events so him and his little clones would always exist and never face a threat they couldn't overcome or avoid. When he attempted to spread beyond universe 616, the Beyonders employed the Enigma Force, the same power Brock (Venom) used to slay Knull, to lock him to this universe, though he was still able to communicate with Dominions outside of his sphere of influence.

I think this saga was more good than bad but this ending kinda sucked because of how enigma was handled they made him out to be so big that it would require all the books to cross over and defeating would cost the krokoan era instead the writers just wanted to get rid of resurrection and we just needed Jean

Enigma was a really interesting character, its a shame he was dwindled off to be phoenix fodder. Due Defenders Beyond shouldn't Jean be on par with the one above all now? And even if so, what kind of calamity could ever hope to challenge the X-men now? Only a few like Dr. Doom, the lost one, franklin richards, Godbiotes Venom/Carnage, and owen reese might pose a threat. Which raises the question why would of these omnipotent beings even want to attack in the first place. (Besides Carnage ofc)

No. Enigma was never a threat to the one above all to begin with, always ran and hid from his enemies, even Galactus is said to be is enemy so he’s miles away from being comparable to TOAA as for Jean also no. TOAA is her source, the whole phoenix gimmick is literally just one his abilities; conceptual fire manipulation

Thank the gods it's over. Anything involving sinister was a drag. He's better as a villain in the background. Putting him in the spotlight only shows how weak he is. Let's hope we are done with him for a long while
