Hey, Phoenix spent 7 years while not being a lawyer investigating a case and building the Jurist System. Oh, also finding both Apollo's and Trucy's real mother! Phoenix may not play the piano to save his life. Yet, the guy is a smart doofus.

ShiningGurren let's not forget Trucy matured him he had to step up for her sake. He was already mature before then. Most of the prosecutors and a few witnesses in other cases had to show some maturity, even though I'm an aunt now I do try to act mature for my age even if some parents disagree. That maturity comes with some of my personality.

ShiningGurren everyone complains about the Apollo Justice Phoenix but he’s the same but just says everything out loud rudely over saying it in his head. I wish we got to see the transition of Fun Phoenix back to boss Phoenix in this game.

But we can’t get a perfect game, so they had to make Apollo a whiny emo for the finale to work here. A lot of people don't really get that the Phoenix in AJAA is in a completely different headspace that the Phoenix in any other game. The AJAA Phoenix is not the man who has to solve cases in three cases, often times involving years old cold case; In AJAA he is a disgraced man and struggling single father with even fewer people he can call "friends" being close to him than usual, Pearl is literally still a teen and has her own things to think about (certain not the woes of a single dad), Maya is abroad, Larry may be around but he is Larry, Miles is around and useful (in fact he might have been the key contact for the MASON System and why Phoenix was elected to overlook it) but busy with eliminating corruption... and Kristoph, the only person he could have called a friend who was actually around and someone who helped him in those seven years, turned out to be the reason why he even hit rock bottom. And what is the thing Phoenix hates the most in the world? *Betrayal* Regular Phoenix is a man who looks for the truth and believes in his client even when the worst happens. AJAA Phoenix is a bitter man who has lost faith in the only person who apparently believed him when he lost his badge and pride, with only the girl he adopted out of pity to keep him in check (he straight out says he thinks Trucy saved him and not the other way around). To vaguely paraphrase Raiden, of all people, his badge is a symbol of justice, of his duty to protect the weak... but he isn't wearing a badge. Truth is, Phoenix can be a cunning man with dark intentions, even if for the greater good, and he has had seven years to think about his destroyed life. He has had seven years to plot his revenge, and he doesn't have a badge to hold him back.

...No. Just don't. We ALL know that Phoenix meant the word "fingered" in the context of "cornered". We don't need to behalf like a bunch of kids, making every line into some sexual thing. Especially when you're just taking a part of a sentence to make it sound more dirty then it should be. I could understand the line "Lamiroir fingering Daryan" from the last game, because that could be taken either way as a whole setence. The line "Unfortunately, Juniper Woods was fingered as the real culprit", literally can't be taken as being dirty. Sorry, I just get sick of seeing everything in these games turned into sex references. It's annoying as hell.
