The Flip 4 is fantastic. I love it!

I was in my High School classroom (pretty big classroom) watching a movie and i thought she had a sony sound bar when i asked where the audio was coming from (because i love tech and stuff) she pointed to her Flip 4. The Flip 4 is probably the best speaker you can come across for almost anything.

I have a Flip 3 that I really like. It's the perfect size for carrying around and it has good sound. The main reason I got it over its larger brethren is that it has a more balanced sound, at least for a BT speaker. It doesn't overwhelm you with bass and had a distinct midrange and clear treble. And having heard the Flip 4, it takes those qualities and shoots them up a bit including a bit more bass. Unless you're wanting to fill a 5,000 seat concert hall with sound, the Flip 4 should be a great choice for everyday use.

Pls help me, my FlP 4 not changing properly. Is it a battery problem?

4.0 firmware update caused erratic battery reading. I charge it full. It takes like 2 hours (charger is 5v 1.5 amp). Then I listen to songs and in around an hour, the battery indicator goes to one point (red) and it turns off. If I power up, it the battery shows 3 points again in an hour it goes to one point (red) and goes off. The cycle repeats and remember I'm not charging just restarting flip 4. I want to downgrade to 3.8 or 3.9. How can I do that?

Does anyone know how long the portable speaker will last? 2 years, 5 years, 10 years? Can the this type of speaker will last 20 years? I don't see any openings to get access to the battery . Is there a way to replace the battery?

Despite this being an older model, i purchased one today because it has the auxillary input and a lot of current bluetooth speakers have scrapped this feature.

When you evaluate a speaker, you have to listen to a bunch of different recordings like Oluv very sensibly does. Let me mention 3 of my favourite jazz albums + 1: 1. Weather Report "8:30 (Live)" Almost zero bass but fabulous music! A rare performance indeed! My stereo has no bass treble controls but I found a way. 2. Joshua Redman "Freedom in the Groove" (great album), Hiromi almost any album. Low on treble. 3) Herbie Hancock's "Gershwin's World" is amazing, if you want to show off your speaker, use it or... +1. Michael Jackson on any speaker, will sound great, barring the JBL Flip 4 and the Soundcore Model Zero+ (You'll find all 4 albums on Amazon Music or Spotify) The point I'm making is, that differences in opinion on speakers are probably caused by differences in recordings... not caused by personal taste in speakers but rather, by differences in one's music preferences.

You is wrong pressing and holding the play button activates google now.and double tapping the play button lets you skip a track.now you can set it up on the app to just hit the play button one time to activate google now or play and pause..

It has a low frequency feature the bass doesn't suck it shouldnt its a 125 dollar speaker for that kinda price you should expect performance like no other and the jbl flip 4 delivers in my opinion jbl has the competitors beat other than beats or sony few other companies put out as reliable of a device and it says 12 hour charge on the box but its more like 14 or 15 hours depending on how loud and how long you steadily play it

Speaker does not work properly with computers. Escalated with JBL support, after 3 replacements it still does not work. JBL says that it is only designed to work with mobile devices. Trying to use it as a speaker phone on my Windows 10 Laptop, it shuts itself off randomly even when on a phone call. Last replacement also seems to go in to a power save mode where if there is no sound for 10 seconds, the next sound has the beginning cut off. It does not matter how good the sound quality is when it does not operate properly. JBL support was not helpful, literally telling me "we are no longer going to respond to you". Very disappointing. JBL is now owned by Samsung, and they seem to be doing more harm than good.

To bad my Sony SRS-XB22 floats an also is waterproof 💯🙏💪🔥😎

not reliable. i didn't use my Flip4 for 1 month because I went overseas. when i came back, it won't power on, sound cracks. since it's out of warranty, reported it to JBL Support center. i am charged SGD100 for battery and speaker driver. overall, not impressed on the support beyond warranty.

Allow me to provide you with some unsolicited fashion advice. Your frames match your face/head shape almost perfect, this is not beneficial. It’s makes your round head appear even rounder. You should try some rectangular frames, they would apply some contrast and dramatically improve your look. Also If your gonna put yourself out there for millions to see, for God’s sake wear a shirt with a crisp collar.

JBL is waste brand. Mivi is 8 times less cheap and better. I bought Flip 4 for Rs. 8,500 and it has 6 big issues: 1. Audio lag when connected to aux. For example if the person says his phone number, you don't hear the first 1 or 2 numbers. This Mivi Roam 2 is best don't have such problem. 2. No Unlimited aux time: When connected to aux, it turns off in an hour. Missed many client calls at work. 3. Too much bass which caused headache. They should give an extra button for bass boost and Balanced mode as there are many people who don't like bass. 4. It's mic is very poor. All the clients complained me that I'm sounding very far. 5. Battery is set to fail in 2 years even after taking care of not discharging it completely nor charging it to full. 6. Lid to locate the charging port and aux cannot be opened by finger or hand. I'm not buying any JBL product nor I recommend anyone. I love Mivi Roam 2. I bought Mivi Roam 2 and it is far better than JBL Flip 4 for my office calls purpose and music.
