IG has done nothing for me yet. I can appreciate that they are shifting some focus back to still photos, but the forced proportions, degraded scaling of photos, and really just getting lost in the flood devalues IG even as a brag book to show off your style. At this point I would be better off never posting a single original photo and just post memes.

I really agree with the most on this video except that instagram is not Dead, i have to disagree just because it is a platform which doesn't show posts, reels , anything to you followers ! What's the point of not showing posts into your followers and trying to reach new one ? I'm not talking about a shadowban, but hundreds of followers i had ( that were obviously real ) stopped seeing my posts, and the funny part is that other in the " Artist " niece i know they have the same problem. So when someone like instagram is telling me that is gonna support artists and does completely the opposite the if not dead, is brain dead ;D . ( Btw i love the yellow bar when introducing Artlist which i find it very useful , very creative way to introduce a paid ad )! I'm impressed ! PEACE

Nah, I prefer the video side, not reels but video, I finally broke through and have had non stop clients for the last 6 months because video was almost now more important even though I am also a photographer. So, let's just keep it like it is. Too many wannabe photographers these days

@@thechrishau They're quite short though and hard to engage with, often just quick temporary flashes of images, but maybe people don't know how to utilise them. The stories option is far more engaging and enjoyable to see fellow photographers (etc) and what they're up to, like your self and many others. Reels at the moment seem devoid of any soul which also means you haven't sold yours to participate in it.
