We previously made a video of photo transfer and received various suggestions to try... so we did. We used Liquitex, Polyacrylic, Black & White images and more. The results varied from Epic Fail to Fantastic

Thanks to our viewers and for the great suggestions. Although we could not get the polycrilic to work, we love the Liquitex results and the Black & White image on glass!

As much as I like the black and white, I have to say I like the one with my granddaughter the most. The black in white comes in a strong second place. LOL!! Thank you so much for taking the time to view our video and leave a comment.

That Liquitex with the label paper turned out great! We’d also recommend giving waterslide a try on metal and glass (not sure about wood, but that could be worth a try, too!). Cheers on another great video, you two!

you are not going to believe this but... planned to try waterslide as well, based on your video. We searched all over the island and no one carried it so we had to order online and it did not get to us on time. I received it yesterday and so we will have to make a separate video on it. I also believe it will be the best solution for glass and metal but I plan to try it on wood as well. If it fails it fails. If it works, then that is good too! :-)

Hi there from South Africa. The last one you did just need another coat on top of Pic. My product I'm using is Acraweld. Unfortunately not available in the States yet...maybe one day. You should incorporate a more arty distressed look, then you won't stress yourself out to try to transfer 100% images. I watched your first attempt as well on your previous video. Again, just run another coat over the transfered image on glass and metal sheet, even the others as well and seal it. It highlights all the colors....well, Acraweld does. You can also transfer on tiles.

What is the name of the liquitex product? Is it paint or something else? All I could find was the Brand name and not a specific glue. I have an art project for my classes to paint something on a snow plough and I would like to transfer student photos onto the front of the plough.

The name of the product is Liquitex Acrylic Gel. Here is an affiliate link to the product to help you find it amzn.to/3zM7wDw. It works much like a glue, in that you apply it wet, it dries and bond items together. We would love to hear how your project turns out. It sounds like a very clever idea to place it on a plough. We hope you are able to post pictures of the results so we can see how it worked out. Please note, I have never tested what happens if the final product gets wet. Since you are dealing with snow, I wonder if the mositure might effect it. You might consider spraying some kind of clear, water resistant coating after you apply the photo.
