Picked this up on sale for 2 €. At that price it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. Having fun so far

Honestly I don't find storage and issue it makes you think twice before picking up that rock for your sling like do I really need this extra rock it makes you think and it means you can't pick up every item will nilly although the fact that game doesn't give you enough of certain resources is a major problem for me the fact that animals that drop meat respawn while plants don't respawn is very annoying since the game encourages exploration yet they punish you essentially for wanting explore since what's her name is all ways hunger no matter what and stockpiling food isn't really a good thing since it goes bad the game activity wants you to do one thing but punishes you for doing it they should have just made this an open game like don't include the story at all or do but just don't have the story be such a thing shown in background and like lost notes in the game would have been perfect if it was just like don't starve but ocean edition ( I know shipwrecked is a dlc but you get the point) or windwaker but none of the story but instead have this half chapter system, make the game look open world when it isn't, and just have it be mediocre and incredibly punishing when it obviously wasn't designed to be that

I just bought the game on Switch and I think it's good. It's no BOTW but good nonetheless. You can build a basket to store items too. I find it a rouge like when dying and the map regenerates. Its a good chilled exploration game imho.

$1.99 on Steam right now. Seems worth adding to the library for that price.

Got it for $4 on sale on Switch. It's an interesting game for sure, hopefully the devs update QoL things like inventory but I feel like I got my money's worth.

I love these less positive reviews interspersed with the usually positive ones. This to me just speaks tons about the genuineness of a game review channel. When you're choosing a game you feel like you'd enjoy chances are you will, so it's only natural that your thoughts on most games you play will be positive. But having these types of not-so-good things to say about the games you play every now and then just shows you're not beholden to positivity for the sake of it. Great job as well with keeping the same format and structure, hope you keep it up!

Yeah, I had wooden chests, a blessed bow and blessed staff - saving spiritual weapons for those guys - and a fully wooden w metal spikes boat in what felt like no time! I went full stealth outfit and could just destroy animals then. Th we game is jank but charmed me nonetheless.

The inventory limit is definitely a deal breaker for a game like this. There's no reason they couldn't have set this to limits that normal play could never reach so it wasn't an issue the player would even think about. I'll skip it.

I don't remember how this game got on my wishlist, but I suspect it's because of the art style and the assumption, like you said, that this was a fun adventure game. I'm a bit disappointed to hear it's not great, but on the bright side... my wishlist is now made up of only 461 games. :) BTW are you on Backloggd?

How many hours did you put in? Strange that you had trouble with the inventory. You can absolutely keep one stack of everything you need without any trouble using a bag and storage on your boat. Nothing wrong with you not enjoying the game loop. I personally think the game loop is outstanding. You did not even mention the rogue-lite element to the game. Where every run you build up different blessings that you can choose between crossings. It just sounds to me like you didn't play the game. But, if you weren't having fun the first hour or so no reason to keep going.

After playing a lot of Survival and Rogue Lite/Like game over the years, I can see this one as a flawed gem. No handholding or explanation about the mid to advanced aspects of the game is probably what throws off a lot of people. The only constant in this survival rogue-lite are your sea shards and how you spend them. Huge difficulty spike after the second chapter with forces you to master the systems or die.

And yet no one has created a game that even comes near a genius design such as the wind waker. I don't understand why. Obviously there is a market for it.

I feel like you never beat chapter two, and from the sounds of how much you like Windbound, that’s fair. But you left out a few of the weirder features. At the end of every chapter, you can buy some randomly picked upgrades or more slots for these upgrades, stuff like bleed on every weapon or better potion crafting. Speaking of chapter’s end. It has a decent bit of everything. A boss fight, a sailing trial, ok that’s it but it’s neat. The ancestors you completely forgot, but they are just lore and more difficult enemies, so I guess that’s fair. You also acted like scales, metal, potions, wood, leviathan gems, and bow and arrows don’t exist. And they do. Of course, the thing about the inventory is on purpose, although I admit it does get annoying. But after crafting an 18 slot bag you really never need to worry about it again. Plus the boat building isn’t nearly as bad as you make it sound. Either way, if anyone reading this finds Windbound on sale, like, really on sale, take it. It’s sort of like of a mediocre BotW mixed with the movie Moana. Plus there is l o r e. Also the old Halloween stuff can still be played but that’s not important-
