Sometimes the colors so much “matched” will give u worse results. I think its more interesting the middle of the video product, with different tones but in same line/chroma, its more rich and beatiful, the last one its quite boring. On the other hand, the men with gun subject/layer is not matched in the shadows/darks, you can see it clear on the lower part of his coat, where the legs of her are more darker in the curve and his darks are a lot more grey-ish and it really brake the compositing. Either way the tones are really nice, love the palettes!!

Everything is subjective, the colours you like, someone else may hate. So when I edit colour, I go with my own instincts not what I feel people will like. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.

@@clintqb82 yes i know that! For that my last sentence. I like both palettes, the last one buuut I prefered the middle one for personal reasons as previously mentioned. The shadows of the guy as i said, are not matching, that maybe should be more tech thing so more “objective” as so… just carry his those points in the curves below and it will be solved. Or even do so in the bottom part and make a clipping mask for certain parts that u would like to maintain in that point of darkest shadow. I don’t know if am making it clear, am drunk byeeeee

Hey - thanks for the feedback! It’s great to hear different opinions on artworks, that’s the great thing about art, it’s subjective ;)

There are videos where they click “alt” on the auto button in the curves menu. From there they click on another option and you’re able to select the lights dark Smid tones from the image of trying to match. For some reason that never works for me no matter how many different ways I try it. Well this one seems more labour-intensive it seems like a way more accurate way to do it.

Everyone has their own way, there is no right and wrong. Find a way that works for you, then master it.

Is it just me? I feel like the man does not belong into the scene the shadows, saturatiion and contrast don't match compared to the woman

@@PhotoManipulation so it was an artistic decision to not match the shadows - interesting.;) In this case its not subjective if shadows match or not. This can be measured with a Spectrophotometer.

@@clintqb82 for example with selective color or with masking out the shadows and just use a solid color layer
