@@testboga5991it would be more taxing on the thermal to test in absolute 0 as everything cools to relative temperature, in the sun shade and material can create vast contrast and create what looks just like a black and white video image which can look ridiculously impressive, check my other video on the rh25 outside that was taken in the sun

Not necessarily. You need both because they each have a role to play. Thermal can't see through glass, nor ir lights and lasers. But night vision CAN. That's why many, including myself, run both in conjuction.

Thermal cores, germanium lenses, and thermogram imaging software aren't just cobbled together in someone's garage. This is high-tech stuff, and I can attest that there is a smaller profit margin in this stuff than in clothes, shoes, or day optics.
