I think we have different ideas about what the word "confirmed" means...

That original tintype was so far destroyed that when they brought it to life it showed so many details that could never be 100% correct and now there’s 1 billion pictures of Billy the Kid and none of them look anything like the original and we don’t even know that the original is original

When cameras were just being getting popular. How is it that a lost kid can find himself in so many photos. Back then you were lucky to have a photo taken once or twice in a photo. Billy seems to be on par with a super model.

Just as a side note: Due to the early type of camera's used in this time period i due believe that this portrait was not corrected by the camera thereby rendering the subject as being left handed when he was actually right handed.

The last image could well be Billy, you can see the hardness and volatility behind the eyes.

Look for a photo of Billy from the Dale collection. I’m almost convinced it’s him after rummaging through all these purported photos on the internet for years.

i notice the photo of young billie you use to compare is the photo brushy had in his possessions.

Lots of those don't look like Billy the kid it keeps saying possibly Billy the kid.

I think the person with the red arrow is the Kid. If you take the shading off his face, the outline of his faces matches up with the provenanced tintype. Also the facial feathers. The other person in the pic is supposed to be Dan Dedrick - could also be one of his brothers.

He was only 5' 3"? The two photos at 2:16 and 2:20 absolutely are the same person.

There is a huge distance between Billy's mouth and the bottom of his chin. For me, this eliminates most of the photos. His brother Antrim? does look like him.

I read somewhere that Brushy Bill was 2 years old at the time of Billy’s death, also Billy was born in New York and Brushy was born in Texas.

The music is too loud and annoying. I couldn’t watch the video although I wanted to.

There is one other photo of him sitting in a chair with a book dressed in a suit. It resembles the authenticated picture made off the tintype. I've seen the tintype that's hard to make out and I've seen duplicates that are very clear. Billy was able to shoot equally well with either hand. But he probably wore his gun on the right side. Otherwise ,you've got a Windchester with the breech on the wrong side.

You have to read the descriptions of Billy to get a sense of what he truly looked like as by all accounts including Billy himself the one confirmed tintype of him is a terrible picture. Why? Well photography was in it's infancy then and you can see a big reflector used on that sunny day shining right into an inebriated Billy's face. To fix the bad look the photographer would have tried to alter and paint in parts the super glare whited out. So Billy's handsome face would be altered in an amateurish way giving him almost a grotesque imbalanced look. Billy while in jail saw an image of the only confirmed tintype of him and complained it made him look like a famous Dutch comedian of that era who gurned for laughs. So, what did the real Billy look like then? Journalists reported he 'was quite the handsome fellow with regular features'...OK so right away you know he did NOT have irregular features no drooping eyes or lopsided jawline! Also he had 'boyish good looks'...'he looked innocent with blue eyes and sandy blonde hair'....And importantly 'If he wasn't laughing all the time you wouldn't see he had crooked teeth'...So all in all we have a handsome blue eyed blonde fellow with sloping shoulders who wore a Gambler's ring on his pinky. His innocent boyish good looks could turn into a killer's cold stare when pushed to his limit.

Such a load, as of today the only verified picture of Billy the Kid is the first one. The second is at best very suspect, and the rest are garbage. Next you'll put out that Brushy Bill Roberts was Billy the Kid....
