New sub!! Another great video idk who these 5 people are... I’m finally understanding the whole retouching thing better but when it comes to dodge and burn and you’re explains what you’re looking for that’s where I get lost at. I see the mouse moving but I don’t see what’s being changed until the dodge and burn layer comes off...

Wowww, this must be hands down the most in depth free tutorial available. I have watched 4 tutorials from big photographers and this goes into so many new things I haven't seen. Watching this multiple times for sure Also, be sure to zoom in more often for phone viewers. I couldn't see what you were doing many times in the before and afters. I'll watch again on my computer though

I know there are some on your IGTV, but I really prefer the ergonomics of KZfaq. If you get around to it, some more in depth videos about dodging and burning or other Photoshop techniques would be great. Keep up the awesome work. I am looking forward to your next video.

@@EliInfante For example, what are smart objects and how are they used. I have been using the camera raw filter in photoshop but once I close it, I don't know how to bring it back up to make changes. Why are there so many different ways of doing frequency seperation and what is the best way, how do you properly use it?

Great video Eli. I noticed when you dodge and burn you use lots of small brush / dot strokes vs using sweeping / traditional brushing. Is this your style or the way most photographers are applying DB? What is the biggest benefit you see applying this method? Thanks.

Thank you! Most photographers do the small brush which is called macro or micro dodge and burn. It's really up to you on how you want to do dodge and burn. The biggest benefit is the smooth transitions.

Seems like you take close to an hour to finish a single image. Kinda scares me to think how long it takes you to edit a whole set.

Once I edit one image its pretty quick actually because all the skin tones coloring and color grading is done. All have to do is copy those layers over.
