I took Photoshop classes 20 years ago and was exhausted by the amount of time it took to perfect my work. I ended up leaving the industry bc it just didn't pay enough. I went into retail for 15 years, and now I'm leaving retail to self-publish children's books. The timing couldn't be more perfect for Photoshop to launch generative fill! I'm so excited about the possibilities but mostly for the time-saving aspect! This is incredible. And only users who exhausted themselves before can truly appreciate the value of this gift. Thank you for this video. I was trying to figure out how to add this new extension. Happy creating!

For those that need to hear it. Remember that you won't be replaced by AI, but you can indeed be replaced by someone using AI. Make the choice to be that person and you'll go very far.

A few years ago: "We need to value our profession and teach the client that there is no magic button that creates a layout from scratch." Currently: "create from scratch button". And so we celebrate the beginning of the end :)

It's a great Update and makes AI usable and accessible. Midjourney is fun and creates some stunning images but the real magic happens when a Human can improve the image further with their own creativity ❤ plus, Adobe has all the license rights and seems like the best Option so far

This is absolutely incredible. It’s bringing a whole new art form to life and I’m here for it. I still love and appreciate the old techniques. I love going into a darkroom and dodging/ burning with a bit of black card. But I equally appreciate the level of speed and freedom this will give to me and any photography I do in the future.

welp, I am literally not necessary in my work anymore, that kind things like rebuild backgrounds and removing things was my specialty and what I earned more to do... now the AI does it in one click, way faster than I could ever... I guess that was how horses felt when they invented cars...

The generative prompts does not work with action statements, to remove objects, simply leaving the prompt blank will do the job.

I tested it yesterday. It does look impressive on video and with simple pictures, but if you look closely it still has a long way to go.

I wonder if this works for stylised images, I doubt it, I’m an illustrator and use photoshop, I doubt I could illustrate an image in my style then add elements which match my art style.

0:54 You can do same thing with Firefly plug in you just need to expand crop area select white or blank part make sure you overlap little to photo and just type Uncrop or Overpaint or Fill in Generative Similarly you can delete unwanted object with rough selection typing Delete or Remove. I would love to see Photoshop should make feature like Decompose images into multiple layers. which right now available in Clipdrop API where that Ai seperate foreground Object and fill background which saves lot of time so being Motion designer I don't need to spend time selecting each one object seperating and fill that part with background. having multiple layers i can easily take those files into After effects and create Parallel motion visual

all this looks very interesting. I have to ask though, what version of photoshop does it work with. I ask because I wanted to order some actions but it has the AI technology for anything over CS6. I won't support CS2-CS6. I have CS5 but I wouldn't be able to use them. TY

On my creative cloud there isn’t the option for beta apps. I can see the photoshop beta but it’s only available for a weird Web version that doesn’t have it.
