Manuel Calleja They’ve still got to be programmed. Basically every change in lighting you see, or the lights are synchronised with the music is input from a human into a computer.

Looking back after Defqon 2020 (which was amazing for the circumstances don’t get me wrong) and seeing what I missed out on this year. Remembering the atmosphere during circles and squares and edge of glory is still one of the happiest memories of my life. It’s so sad.

@@marcd3845 i heard they had to tone down the volume for the afterparty due to complaints from 3rd parties about the volume being so high this late into the night. no reason to tone it down for the gathering tho since it wasnt that late into the night on friday

In the tent was a really good atmosphere, but was I the only one who had the feeling that the music was way too quiet? I mean, the crowd was at least at the same noise level as the music. That was not so nice, because I couldnt really hear the melodies.

Q Dance do an amazing job of organising events, but even the best can't avoid rare occasions where there are problems. The crowd were amazing for this set and it really felt like we were all doing our best to support PN through a tough time with the sound problems, the atmosphere for me made up for the sound issues and was still a great experience because of that.

I was standing almost in front of the right, front speaker and me and my friends were able to talk almost normally ... sad. The crowd was constantly louder than the actual music.

Saturday and Sunday was damn loud. I think they had to reduce the volume due to legal issues. But i totally agree!

@@MrLimos2000 yeah, the people of Flevoland and Omstreken, have submitted a total of 92 complaints about the event this year, which is actually good in comparison with the 291 complaints they had last year... It gonna be less loud in the evening, if they wont they most likely will get a hard time getting permits in the future

I hope next year you will end the Gathering before 23:00. The first half of the set I was just constantly moving around the tent with the face like "WTF?!" trying to find a place where I could hear some music rather than people talking. Because of that i didn't even notice the great work of the lighting programmer

Jwstin Sound messed up badly after 2-3 minutes in. It was an issue, which I presume they didn’t know how to fix instantly. So unfortunate as it’s one of the best sets ever, light show and atmosphere wise. The crowd was on fire all Friday in both black and blue.

@@connorbryant8239Mate, sound level is one thing (bad) but here the settings was horrible we couldn't even ear the melody... During the afterparty sound was just way too low but it's more complicated for this...
