Cesspool? As opposed to the noble purity of the Pelasgian/Illyrian/Dorian/"real" Hellenic (make up your minds) Albanians?
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
Who wrote Kosovo's constitution, I wonder. The Albanians? And it is Kosovo in English, not Kosova. I don't know why you bother insisting on the latter. The name is originally Slavic, whatever the suffix.

By the way, the correct vocative form is ARVANITI, not "Arvanita", which does not exist in Greek. If you *really* want to talk about being out of one's league. ;)
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
That's a non sequitur. (No surprise there.) Not recognizing "any" minorities does not equate to claiming "purity", whatever that is. It simply means that the Greek state will not accord special recognition or treatment to any particular group. And you're wrong; Greece isn't the "only" European nation to pursue such a policy. France does not officially recognize ethnic divisions either. Living in Paris, you should already know that.
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
Excuse me? Are you actually claiming that non-recognition of minorities = claim of "purity" is *not* a logical fallacy?
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
Is that why international news media reported that the six stars may in fact stand for the 6 regions of Greater Albania? Let me get this straight. We must respect you while you abuse us. And then you woke up.
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
You mean you're an illegal immigrant in Greece? My bad, I thought you were in Paris. That's what your profile says.
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
Why don't you try running your ideas past a few honorable Arvanites, and see the response you get?
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
Blanket discrediting? Isn't that what you did when you described the Greek identity as a cesspool? And then you have the audacity to demand respect?
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
As opposed to the Albanians' culture of tolerance and respect for the other, in which the complexities of human existence are interpreted in shades of grey rather than black and white? Tell that to the ethnic minorities of Kosovo which have been forced out by the Albanian majority over the past decade. Far from being immune from nationalism, the Albanians are arguably the biggest chauvinists in the Balkans today.
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
How dare I question your Albanian chauvinism, you mean? Watch me. If the events of March 2004 were *not* a pogrom against the Serb minority of Kosovo, what were they? Yet another example of the Albanians' superior culture of tolerant open-mindedness?

Many of our nationalists claim purity? *All* of yours do the same. When has the Greek state claimed anything of the sort?
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
Religious fanaticism? I'm an atheist, thank God. I get along fine with Albanians, but when they tell me they're indigenous Pelasgians or Illyrians, I simply laugh. When they disrespect my identity, as you have here, I tell them where to shove it. As for the Arvanites = Albanians falsehood, it's been done to death. Spare me.
@kostakii103015 жыл бұрын
its funny people lik you think whole greece and his culture is always from another country albania , turkey , makedonia , ~_~ so greece lives 7000 B.C more then 9000 years already and u all think we have no culture at all hahahha funny joke ;D
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
Why pretend to speak on Greece's behalf when you're clearly an Albanian? And what does this video have to do with the Arvanites?
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
Freudian slip? ;) The historical revisionism which you advocate would indeed create nothing but a false impression. Faleminderit but no thanks.
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
When Albanians are mistreated simply for being Albanians, I condemn the perpetrators just as robustly as I condemn your anti-Greek chauvinism. Why do you feel it is acceptable to attack Greeks simply for being Greeks? What gives you the right to describe the Greek identity as a cesspool? Your Pelasgian roots, perhaps?
@MAKEDANOS15 жыл бұрын
And what would be a "correct" representation, in your view? Your claim to be the indigenous descendants of the pre-Hellenic Pelasgians is universally rejected by mainstream scholarship. Nationalist delusions aside, Albanian has been irrefutably demonstrated to be an Indo-European language closer to Daco-Thracian than Illyrian. In other words, you have no connection to the Pelasgians, who were absorbed by the Hellenes, and probably no connection to the Illyrians either.
