Its concerning to know that people would write a letter of recommendation that is not flattering rather than just decline writing the letter

I thought this too…. seems very malicious…. I can understand not everyone is going to be on your team but thats super toxic! BUT on the other hand I think many people are aware of who they vibe with and who they dont…. I think most of those people with those references dont have any good references those were probably the best of the options they had the minimalist …. then you have narcissistic people who feel as though everyone loves them and theyre amazing and the reality is they just arent that fantastic

I saw the USC courses for the PA involved classes in anthropology and sociology and then i hear the iowa guy say "With Medical Students" I was like wow a real program.

All it comes down to is just talking and being able to put your sentence together. Some of the interviewers I've met don't know how to ask questions and are not fit to be interviewers in my honest opinion and therefore should not be sitting on boards or panels. Just breaks my heart that some of these people get to pick and chose who gets to be a PA and who doesn't. It's ok when they stutter but if a student stutters they get judged by it. Horrible that they make these decisions when some of these same people don't have any experience at all. I don't like these people who sit on these panels. They turn away a lot of capable people. They look at the wrong things even though their mission states otherwise. I am done.
