Hello my Actin Filaments,
Today we are going over the sarcomere. The skeletal muscle is comprised of many layers. The inner most layer is called the myofibril. The myofibril is made up of many sarcomeres. The contractile units are called filaments. The thick filament is called, "Myosin" and the thin filament is called, "Actin". To hold Myosin in place, we have a spring protein called, "Titan". In the video, I also go over the regions of the sarcomere like the M-line, H-Zone, A-band, I-Band, and Z-line. Most physiology exams ask questions on the different regions on the sarcomere
