I watched the full lecture. All the important mechanisms were explained in short but comprehensive manner. Your voice is too gentle and not boring like other teachers who are using these stuffs to teach. I’m planning to revise my physiology course with your beautiful lectures just some days before my exam. Love from Pakistan! 🇵🇰

You are the best ma. You explained in a very good way. You didn't also add anything outside the standards of the topic thereby making it to be used on its own even without using one's lecturer materials often. God bless you.

44:33 you say it correctly, but your slide is wrong. The slide says "Fibers *HYPER*trophy when not used" ... that should be "Fibers *A*trophy when not used". By the way, nice video, with a lot of very good information.

More than once, you said that >1 ATP is needed per cycle. But isn't only 1 required? Even your diagram at 33:20 shows only 1 ATP as input.
@PhysiologyforStudents
@PhysiologyforStudents 7 жыл бұрын
Hi DNAunion - this is a bit of a definition issue. Technically for one contraction, the myosin head is prepared in the prior step by a fresh ATP hydrolysis- this 1 then is "used" during the cycle. A second ATP then must come in to reset the myosin head for the muscle to relax and reset. So its 1-2 depending on how you define it. Ask your instructor his/her preference.
