Posterolateral Rotatory Instability of the knee results due to damage to the posterolateral corner. Its often overlooked in knee assessment or when a PCL tear is suspected. The reverse pivot-shift test exerts a subluxation mechanism on the knee.

While they look similar your intent is to test the integrity of the posterolateral corner and not the meniscus

No McMurray test starts from hyper/maximum Flexion of knee to full extension. Reverse pivot 90 degree Flexion to asses at 20 degree till full extension., we r looking for proximal tibia movement. Axial load is also given here while extending..
