Thank you for the millions of views!
A quick bio: I am a practicing board-certified music therapist here in Sunny SoCal! One day, I happened to walk into Costco and heard "Killing Me Softly" played by Justin Romanowich, Yamaha Salesman, and we decided to jam away on Adele's "Someone Like You". He picked the key and we just went for it! Never would I have guessed that this video was going to hit millions of views! I really appreciate all the love and support everyone has shown!
Follow us at INSTAGRAM: costcopianogirl
Subscribe: kzfaq.info...
Many of you have left words of encouragement and support in the comments and many have also made comments about the children. I would ask that you would see the “imperfections” in the music as humanness in all of us. The extra notes in this video, although not initially intended, added flavor and uniqueness to the whole experience. I hope we can all see it as the children improvising along with us. They wanted to make music too!
With that said, thank you all for your support and love for music! May it continue! And lastly, I would ask that you refrain from leaving negative comments about the children as we were all once a child

My name is Justin Romanowich, I am the man playing in the video. Hi there! THANK YOU to all who have viewed, shared- and LISTENED. Those who are receptive to it? You all "get it". The father dancing with his child- oh! That is my favorite part. I have intentionally remained anonymous to this point; it is now the perfect time to introduce myself. The beautiful comments- are literally breathtaking, again- I personally thank ALL of you. And? I am now going to share something else with this community. Read on, please: I had no idea the video was even being recorded until AFTER the "High Ten", yeah? Here's how it went down: A smiling lady approached me while I was playing in Torrance, CA. Classically trained, and extremely talented- dedicated. You can all see / hear that, the comments reflect that fact. So... we decided on a song that we both knew by heart, Adele's "Someone Like You". It... just "flowed", organically- naturally. So grateful for the experience! I mean REALLY. Her man was recording the moment, glad he did so. I was hoping that it would get maybe get uploaded, and others could check it out, too. As of right now, over 9.4 MILLION hits?? That's just wild! Views are growing by an average of 15-20k a day. Radical. The comments... show the entire gamut of human emotion. The elegant and kind, and the absolutely deplorable; you know who you are. Ignorance and prejudice- never shows much reason. It is an indicator of stupidity. Why do I say this? WHAT NONE OF YOU KNOW (and this is long overdue- hear me??!!)... In the video, the camera shot ONLY the pianos on the *right-hand side* of the display. There were TWELVE pianos there, yeah? SHAME on all who said those awful things about those two BEAUTIFUL young girls- the ones in the purple shirts. I MUST defend them!! True- there WERE several children who were prompted to jam along with us that day. Love it! I love it every time; I... ENCOURAGE it. HOWEVER!! ...the other piano notes being played- were by the SUPERVISED *OTHER* kids, on the OPPOSITE side of the piano display- you all can not see the other pianos [in this video] but- yeah- there are always 11-13 instruments in the piano roadshow. Both ACOUSTIC and DIGITAL. Because I have been doing this for YEARS, I always unplug the digitals on a busy day- to prevent any banging at a volume level of "eleven". It's cool, yo- part of the job! Yes, the girls in purple- you can see [one of them] pressing down on that hybrid piano (looks acoustic, but is DIGITAL- it made NO sound.) The kids that WERE adding their embellishments? WERE ON THE OTHER SIDE, OUT OF YOUR VIEW; ON THE UPRIGHT ACOUSTIC PIANOS- (here's the "zinger") those kids... NOT the innocent girls in the purple, no- the other kids that were actually WITH their "parent(s) / legal guardian(s)". Said "parents" let those OTHER kids- have free reign upon the other instruments- the ones you can not SEE, but you hear it. So- that's it. FACT. You (the bullies!!) were terribly wrong in your grotesque assumption. I, for one- forgive you. If those girls read THIS comment- and I hope that it finds its way to them- I personally am sorry. I know, because I was THERE- that it was not either one of you- I weep (even right now) about the horrible comments directed towards you, and your family. I am glad you came over that day- I hope you both go on to do your VERY BEST in life! You certainly showed wonder & curiosity- about the arts, music- I bet you dance, or paint- sports; or sing- play an instrument?? For sure- you both are creative- keep that close, dear hearts. You are as important as the wind, and the sand- and the stars... You have a RIGHT TO BE HERE!!!!!!! That's enough for now. I love the awesome comments- keep those COMING!! Yay! This world... is still a lovely place. This world... is what WE make of it. Check out: "Justin Romanowich" (find me on CDbaby)- I just completed a Studio Recording of THIS (Someone Like You) song- sans the noisy shopping carts, etc.. and matched our (the lady and I) notes and performance as closely as possible. I changed TWO things- the pianos used in the STUDIO VERSION, were a modeled Steinway D Grand Piano, and a Modartt K2 Grand. Sounds fantastic- I owe Costco a debt of gratitude- for this; and all the *good* times... Thank you for reading. I LOVE EVERYBODY Sincerely, Justin R. Romanowich

They really added to the video! Btw, the little boy is not a baby. He's a toddler, a child 12 to 36 months old. The toddler years are a time of great cognitive, emotional and social development. What the dad was doing was perfect! The word "toddler" is derived from "to toddle," which means to walk unsteadily, as children of this age do.

Angela god you’re stupid. Excuses excuses excuses. Kids these days literally get away with anything. No respect for their fellow human being. No respect for their parents. No respect for fellow shoppers. Every time I go shopping all I see is kids causing mayhem in stores. And the parents are no where to be seen 99% of the time. 90% of white and foreign parents literally let their children do whatever the fuck they want. Most black parents are usually the only ones to actually put their kids in line. And I’m white and can say that with no problem admitting it. God I hate kids.

She was the inspiration and love and the wind beneath everyones wings no matter their pursuits in life. I love her forever for the forever love she gave to everyone! This video is definitely inspirational and these two performers have no idea how much what they did means to a lot of people. I remember when at Costco one time, many years ago they were selling these baby Grands Pianos. My Sister-In-Law who is a Master Pianist played the Beethoven Moomlight Sonata and finished with "Flight of the Bumble Bee", I swear everyone in Costco was surrounding her to watch this masterpiece be played in front of them. Many had said they had never heard it live before. It was so beautiful I saw people with tears in their eyes, even for myself, It was so powerful, I too got emotional.

About the children... they were very amazed about playing, they were watching the whole time, and trying to “try” to do the same. The pianists did not loose focus on the extra notes !!! I just wish the parents of the children enrol them on piano. A lot of people try to put the parents down, but you know what ? Those kids would never forget this moment, they will talk forever... remember that time we went to Costco and there was two people playing....💐💐💐💐

A guy sat down at the grand piano on display and played a gorgeous rendition of "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. I held my son in my arms and danced with him, full-on ballroom style, while the man played. One of the most beautiful memories I have....thanks, piano man. Stuff like this is AWESOME.

Either the children are too young to be unsupervised in a store or are old enough to know better than to randomly bang on the keys of a piano while someone else is playing actual music. Either way, it shouldn't be happening and shows poor manners on the part of parent or kid.

As a kid, you rarely appreciate the potential joy and skill you could achieve if you stick with practicing an instrument. It's usually about mom and/or dad making you practice. Then you become an adult, see something like this video, and are either happy you stuck with it or regretful you didn't. Ok, maybe not everyone, but I think most people. I love this video. Good work and thank you for posting! :)

How could people just walk by? This music was priceless and worth so much more than what was in their carts!

Pretty awesome that the piano salesman is actually a talented player. It's really nice to see when people actually love the thing they're selling.

Sometimes u wonder where the parents are of some kids they just let run around. When truly they are missing out on such a gift. Sometimes u have to pause to really take in the gift given. Like this father with his child. Bravo.
