I hope people do realize how much work you need to put in to be able to improvise like they did at 7:15. This is some serious level of musicianship. I won't analyse the whole thing because it would take too long, but i hope everybody realize how talented they are. Being able to be that connected while improvising while creating such a unique and not that simple song on the spot is fantastic.

I just wrote a similar reply before seeing yours. Calling someone talented is a compliment, but he put the time in. No matter how talented someone is, they don't get to where Frank is without putting in a lot of work. Don't be discouraged because you don't immediately pick something up. You need to not give up.

Definitely. Hopefully Frank will do a watch the new video in his next Twitch stream and we can ask him some questions. Good luck to the person applying to music schools too. Aim high. Just plan for those student loans when you graduate... And make the most of the opportunities that come your way

10:33 No way!! I got into piano at age 13. It's already opened up so many opportunities, even though I'm only self-taught for 2.5 years. I learnt to play by ear like you ;) I wonder where I'll be when I reach 4 years, and further in 15 years. This is honestly so inspiring 😊 I'll need to rewatch that interaction if I ever am in need of piano inspiration.

One thing to consider if you are self taught is getting a teacher. They will be able to help with advice on technique and help fix any potential bad habits. Finding a good teacher is probably the hard part though.

@@misterwoody_ For sure, I've considered that, and I am definitely lacking technique in certain areas, although ultimately I decided to keep piano as more of a hobby. But maybe in the future I will, who knows? Thanks for the advice.
