In his autobiography you can read about the circumstances, under which this recording was taken. There was no time for repeats of the parts and Piatigorsky describes it as a wonder, to record the whole concert in one take. If you listen to the last note of the concert, you can hear the "Bravo" of the first Oboist, Leon Goossen. He was enthusiastic because of the wonderful record. Sorry for my english, I am german.
