I'm sorry but I'm not carrying an axe with the blade under my armpit in reverse. That looks more dangerous than almost all other methods, except the one over the shoulder.

The over the shoulder is sadly my normal axe carry method around the woods 🤣.... the under the armpit method seems sketchy af tho....but he'll he also tells us to sand are wooden handles and them wash with warm soap and water...and there's no way in hell I'm putting water on a wood handle thats already probably normaly drenched in water on a fire scene anyway.

2 half hitches is kind of overkill unless you have a tool 6 feet or longer.
