Messi is the complete footballer. He is a playmaker, he assists, he can drop deep or play up front, he is he greatest dribbler of all time, his vision is otherworldly, and on top of he is a goalscorer. Cr7 is amazing but there is no comparison between both. Messi is the greatest football player of all time.

CR7 used to be a winger then he turned into a striker because he was the best finisher in the world. Messi was a winger, then sometimes went to CF, but was never a great number 9. Now as he's gotten older he's more of a playmaker and less of a goalscorer. Why pretend Messi did all these things at the same time ?

@@christoforospapandreou if you looked at Barca system he was never a number 9 except towards the latter stages and he was never great. Majority of goals come from him playing in the hole. Just like salah actually isn’t a great number 9, but he gets so many goals on the wing

@@itaachiii Nice delusion. Messi in his prime was a better footballer. Also, between 2015 and 2018 wasn't either players prime... You're simply choosing that period because Ronaldo with Real was more successful in the CL. However, Messi was at his absolute best as a footballer between 2008-2015, while Ronaldo was between 2007-2014. Also, Messi has remained the far better footballer beyond that point. Ronaldo has thrived because he's been able to move closer to goal and operate as largely a poacher for the past five years.
