I've had my R70X's since early 2022 and still like brand new and i've dropped them more times than I would like to admit on hard wood floor.. They might not look well built but they're solid.

The designer of the R70x actually took a lot of inspiration from the HD600 & 650, honestly they sound more like a 600 series headphones than the 660S and 660S2

r70x are going on 9 years old. my pair has been perfect for 7 years. they last if you take care of them.

If u have the possibility i would love to see a HD600 vs Denon D9200 comparsion once. Denon is a closed back, but i think they have veeery similar tuning and characteristic, (clean, clear, very balanced, reference sound but very musical) it would be interesting.

I use the HD600 with a Fiio e12 and the bass boost gives sub bass with muddying the frequencies.

Those look like really old pads on your HD 600. Not really a fair comparison without newer pads
