Nice rig and hope you catch done big ones on fork lake! I considered a unit like this but no holding tanks for Grey water makes the shower useless for me. Moreover I want a cassette toilet with external tank and a outside venting heater. They don't offer either of those options. Great company and I like the cowboy model for a basic sleeper. Gods speed and keep us updated on your travels sir!

My husband and I just picked up our brand, new capri camper, lone star junior. It will definitely serve our purpose for our waterfowl hunting excursions and my running races.

So the camper weighs 1600lb. But how much with 30 gallons of water, propane and all your gear? And yourself. I contacted Capri as I really want a Tundra and was told that a build I wanted, which was very similar to yours, was too heavy for the Tundras payload. What I am confused about is I keep seeing Tundras with your exact camper on it here on youtube.

I added 100lb air bags to my truck which I would highly recommend. I am also towing a 20ft bass boat behind it and I’ve never had any issues.

@@davidwilliamsprofishermen1288 What year and liter is your Tundra? Maybe I should talk to some one different at Capri. No matter what I took off the list of options it was too heavy for a Tundra according to them.

How well does the Tundra handle the camper? It’s got to be heavier than the max payload for the truck, yes? I also have a Tundra (2016 Limited Double Cab 4x4, 6.5’ bed) and I want to put a truck camper on it so that I can tow my boat and have a comfortable place to stay. I like the Capri Campers but I can’t make the payload numbers add up. I’m very curious how fellow Tundra owners do it. I’d love to hear more about your experience with the truck, camper and boat hauling/towing situation. Thanks!

Camper only weighs about 1,600lbs. I put 100lb air bags on my tundra and it handles it without any issues. I’ve been hauling truck campers on my tundras for 14 years now and it does great.

New to truck campers buy just ordered a Capri Cowboy. Was thinking of just keeping it on my truck permanently but noticed you unload yours. If you don't mind me asking what's the benefit of unloading it?

Well most time I’m pulling a boat and when I go to a lake I’m usually there a week. So I like to set it off on a campsite and hook up power and water. Makes it much easier launching a boat without it on also.

I didn’t want a stove I carry a portable grill and cook outside. You can get one though.

I don’t know exactly but they told me it was roughly 1,500lbs. It probably depends on what options you get and the size camper you get.
