Bonus stats: -confusion (confuses the enemy) -underestimation (enemies underestimate you due to your poor clothing choices)

Confusion stat: Lowers attack accuracy (potential miss chance if Confusion debuff is greater.) Can be applied many times, slightly lowered if challenged again/debuff ends. Underestimation stat: Lowers atk, def, atk spd and atk accuracy. (Reduced heavily with higher Underestimation debuff.) One time per enemy as stated in the comment above. You already get this when you get anything that is op, then get these debuffs, then you're basically a monster.

Sometimes I am REALLY glad they didnt show you actually wearing the articles of clothing you collect in Undertale. Confronting the end bosses would look ridiculous if you decided to face them wearing an old, dusty tutu

That reminds me of the fact that the optimal weapon for the Sans fight is not the iconic glowing red knife that everyone depicts the protagonist with. It's the Burnt Pan. Because it makes items heal you more. I have yet to find fan art that depicts Sans getting smacked on the head with a frying pan at the most climactic part of the fight.

@@paradoxicaloutcome1007 That has a lot to do with Chara and the Genocide root. The knife is iconic because it represents the personality of your character (no matter what you actually named them) and what they've become through their actions. Though with the actual physical representation being Frisk it's that appearance that is the really anomaly. But Chara doesn't have a distinct appearance for representation so it isn't like much can be done about that either.

This is why clothing in games is something that shows: 1.The effort and planning the devs put into every outfit and how they can fuse with another set. 2.Companies just want you to spend your money and make you buy the most expensive but "better"(best looking) equipment.

@@nise6699 but that synergy is for straight str acc build, it doesnt give you any vitality or stamina bonuses like it used to but people abused the new synergy with stamina so they removed that which is why the hat is back into play.. especially with the new bonus vit and str it gives with the girlscout badge WHICH IN FACT was only obtainable for a week until they removed it from the drops so now you can only get it through trading but it's worth it, now if you mix that synergy with the crocs and winter coat synergy.. you basically become a god with how high your stats are

I like how people either go for style or stats. I have a threshold system, as long as I'm surviving with some leeway I prioritise looks, if I'm going with an ugly set it better give me more than just a minor stat increase compared to my pretty set

That's why some games implement double equipment slots. You can ovveride the looks of equipment with other equipment. So you can choose the stats of one, but display another if you think it looks good.

The videogame logic is that the weirder a male character's clothes are, the stronger they are until they look like a mixture between a drug addict, a clown, a space ranger, and a nudist. But for female characters is the fewer clothes they wear, the stronger they are until all they are wearing is a thin piece of cloth around the nono areas.

Protip: just get the Legendary 200 Armor Cybernetic chip from the Ripperdoc in the Kabuki Watson area for like 15k or 20k EDs. That should be enough armor to negate the downside of wearing cool but lower armor clothings. Once you can craft/buy armor mods, some of them give up to 150 armor/piece.

@@Aliens1337 Ye, once you have the legendary armor cyberware, the most important thing about armor becomes the mod slots, once you have high enough crafting to extract mods, it just becomes a matter extracting legendary mods and putting them in something stylin.
